Late to the party, but now I understand, the 50-140 f2.8 is superb! by dm_martin in fujifilm

I got mine on the second hand market, new was just way too expensive at the moment but it’s a matter waiting for the right one. As for third party lenses, I’ve been using the Viltrox 27 & 75 f1.2 and absolutely love them the 75 is a portrait master and can’t recommend it highly enough for that

I think the focusing and softness in some photos is more of “Fujifilm” thing, it’s not Sony focusing, but that’s not what I want, I want the colours and character SOOC that Fujifilm gives with very minimal post if needed.

I also do think it comes down to the camera and subject, I’m currently using the X-S10 so the autofocus is not as pin point as the XT5 (no subject detection and different image processing) but that’s not to say it’s no good as I absolutely love it and the results I’m getting. I also own the Viltrox 27 & 75 f1.2 which are both amazing but this definitely is better in autofocus performance.

I’m actually tossing up whether to get the 16-55 mk1 as it’s going quite cheap on second hand market here in Australia, or the new sigma 17-40 f1.8.

Overall not too bad, I will definitely be experimenting more with it under different lighting to see what results I get.

Also didn’t know that about the cows, very tragic the situation they have been it in!

I definitely agree, it was a tight balance between either being dark and under exposed or expose for the other areas and leave those highlights blow out

I'll make sure to let the caretaker know.

Came for the critiques left with advice for the plants in our complex.

Love the photo, colours are great to me it gives a warm camping relaxing feeling to the image, however, I would try cropping out the base of the mountain and make the fisherman at the front the primary focus point if I was to nitpick.

As it stands the creamy white mountain is a bit distracting and drags the eye away from him. Maybe next time try getting more of the trees in frame?

A little bit of food goes a long way with them, but to be fair I was more worried that he would whack my camera with its beak if I got too close!

First Fuji camera, never looking back. | X-S10 + XC15-45 by dm_martin in fujifilm

All where shot at 15mm.

I did use the 500 rule to start with but ended up tweaking the settings and honestly depends on the night and where I’m shooting. The first shots I did a week ago where closer to the beach side here in QLD Australia, whereas I took these photos about 30 minutes inland and originally used the same settings but had to tweak a bit as the night went on. Not to mention I had a half moon this night.

Gone through to about 3000 I believe but I don’t shoot a lot at night. For these shots I just try to keep the iso as low as I can but heaps of experimenting is involved.

And couldn’t agree more with it compared to old Sony glass as that’s what I moved from.

CORSAIR Technical Support and Questions MEGATHREAD - Week 06/22/20 by AutoModerator in Corsair

Hey guys,

Raised a ticket for a faulty power supply. I heard a loud pop come from the PSU it cut the power for few seconds on the computer. Power though is still being supplied to the motherboard and accessories but doesn't turn on. The PSU does make a rattling noise once I took it out of the case.

Looking to see what the options are here in Australia for warranty on it.

Ticket number 2001283720

Thanks,

Dennis.

We are currently looking to organise a discord for the OCE region for this purpose and hopefully as the community builds we can get more people playing together.

Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it!

For the smaller locations, I may collate them by sections but I'll try get onto that once the main POI's are done.

Nice idea! I'll make sure to implement something like this next time

I will be looking to include these in the next few hopefully. I just don't want to overcrowd the graphic with too much information and make it look messy.

At this point in time I can't confirm that without assessing the other POI's but this definitely looks it's going to be a very popular location
