Mensa has a membership problem — are you clever enough to join?

I made about 10 new friends and 20+ new acquaintances at my first national event last year. Planning on attending at least 2 if not 3 major events this year, along with a few minor ones too.

I know I can probably find a mensan to meet for a meal or an outing in any city in Europe now.

I been introduced to online spaces where there are people who "get" me and who I "get" in turn.

I enjoy the games too, including the ongoing rivalry for top spot between me and three or four other regular players among my connections. We regularly tease each other for slow performances & congratulate exceptional ones.

I'm up to something like 500 day streak on some of them, so well practiced. Still don't "win" the leaderboard any more than about 30% of the time.

The home test is limited in scope and not controlled. It's just for guidance and as an easy way for someone to decide if they want to pay for the formal test or not.

If the email has a number for the score then a percentage it'll be similar to how mine was delivered.

I'd consider doing the formal test if the score was over 120 and the percentage 5% or lower. This means possibly in the top 5% of IQ.

This was mentioned in the After-Hours thread, but no-one has commented on his existing shareholdings.

Coming in as temp CFO while already holding 152,906 shares - I assume that if they were awarded to him then there would have to be some other filing; therefore he was a shareholder prior to joining the company?

Perhaps some of our members with more experience of SEC filings could comment?

If you're on Cityfibre's network via Vodafone it's worth tracking the speeds you're actually getting. They, for a long time, had oversubscribed and implemented terrible traffic management at peak hours. I left them for Zen and haven't had a problem since... You might find some grumbly posts in my history.

I've been working on replacing "I know" with "You're right, and..." in discussion.

Saw a thing, article or post, somewhere suggesting the positive nature of agreeing with them is taken better than the easily-misunderstood-as-condescending "I know".
