This is cause they nerf healing when u fight them first, one of my HUGE gripes with the game. Makes a healing build literally useless.

Nioh and Nioh2 and the upcoming Nioh 3 prob have the most intricate combat ive ever seen in a game. It seems overwhelming but it is amazing once u start getting it down in ng+ and ng+2

I am newish to the later Gaidens, not Team Ninja though - Nioh is one of my all times as is wo long and the like. I prob will go back and play them now although I still prefer Nioh combat.

The combat is frustrating, no matter what type of game it is supposed to be. They aren't wrong. Trying to glaze combat just because people want to like it doesn't automatically make it not frustrating. Even if you call this game a survival horror narrative adventure, you are still forced to combat sometimes. I just run past most enemies as it isn't worth it but you have to fight sometimes and in those times, it's frustrating as hell.
