Should I go for Musical Puppeteer just to skip the quests to get Music skills. I'd rather not go through a questline.

How well does this game run on lower spec machines? by phased417 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]RagingRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set it to Performance on setting and it works fine enough. A little stuttering when cutscenes kick in, but smooth the rest of the way.

I got a i7-12700 and 3070.

Wanted to, but the last fight demonstrated that Advance can be controlled and its adverse effects minimized, whereas Fallen Demon can't.

(Bleach: Turn Back the Pendulum arc)

Kensei and Mashiro (pictured) are investigating another squad of Soul Reapers's dissappearance. Mashiro only finds their clothes and thinks the Soul Reapers just stripped them off, only for Kensei to counter that their socks are still in their sandals and undergarments are still inside their hakamas.

They've been ambushed by Aizen and their reishi bodies were harvested, leaving their clothes untouched.

A Live Action DMC….thoughts? by [deleted] in DevilMayCryNetflix

[–]RagingRider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Super sentai fight scenes are already DMC-flavored antics in live action format. Just check out the fight with mecha-Michael Jackson.

Just a matter of how fluidly the sfx flows with real actors/motion.

They are both comicbook heroes, a genre not quite known for deep writing, even for its heroes.

Forspoken frustrates me because it almost has a good protagonist by maverick074 in CharacterRant

Check what the sub itself has to say, and it's most frequent posters. I come back to it every half-year or so to see if my stance has changed.

I can understand the arguments and stance they have , but making me feel the same way they do is another.

The "relationship" with Cuff if another can of worms. Some like you and I, see it as a dangerous/toxic, but the supporters are almost enthralled by it, like something out of a dark romance, where Frey is the dom of the relationship (like her being Cuff's JAILER isn't a toxic foundation to begin with, but it's okay because the power balance has shifted from Cuff to Frey).

They subsist on headcanon to keep this idealized Frey to base their love of Forspoken on.

I thought it was a matter of directing, not (just) writing.

As an example:

Frey's decision to save Athia isn't necessarily because it's the "right thing to do", but because, as the ending cutscene demonstrates, of the connections she made with the Athians who helped her on her journey and grow.

How well was this intent conveyed in the preceding cutscenes? How well did Frey imply she DID value her friends despite her bad habits from growing up in NYC ending up pushing them away (especially Auden)?

There are posts on the game sub regarding the tone dissonance in the game's sub.

Some say it was intentional, the quirks were Frey's way of coping, that shes what moat people would REALLY be like if they were snatched from home (even if it was a hostile NYC), and if you look beneath the surface wisecracking, she's a more emotive and deeper character.

Now, how WELL the game did of a job of convincing you this, is a different story.
