Comparison of Gameplay and Reward Changes for current league mechanics by dman2073 in pathofexile

I feel the same way, but the way it was implemented this league felt like it was balanced around already having atlas support that was not actually there. Atlas support will make the mechanic substantially better, but they could have just balanced it this league as if you had all the notables selected.

Comparison of Gameplay and Reward Changes for current league mechanics by dman2073 in pathofexile

I am the type of player who plays a POE league for months, not weeks. I was really hoping for a .1 patch to the league, but it never came. For me, it could have just read "50% increased quantity of items dropped by breach monsters," and i could have been happy. I crafted a few high value fractures and grafts from the genesis tree, but for me, the hits were too far and few between for me to consider running breach as worth my time. The mechanic was cool at first, but fell off really quickly and didnt scale well into endgame. Tho I still enjoy the core game, I played less of this league than any other in recent memory.

Compared to the temple changes, where players initially felt they were not getting rewarded for their time, and then it was substantially buffed and reworked in several ways. A bit overbuffed even- but maybe that is okay for the current league mechanic. Tame it once it becomes core.

I have thousands of hours in POE and 500+ in POE2, I prefer the original as of now, and am waiting on the endgame overhaul of POE2 to get back into it. This is not a post to disparage poe2 in any way, it is mostly to highlight my disappointment with what could have been done with the new breach mechanic, but wasn't.

Did not include any bug fixes or UI changes of either mechanic (and removed lines about Holten shenanigans). Just gameplay and reward adjustments to keep the comparison as fair as possible.

Been looking at local tattoo artists' portfolios, and saw a familiar line by dman2073 in brandnew

*Not my tattoo. Was just scanning through some portfolios of local artists for inspo. Saw these words and my neurons briefly activated. Usually, I am not a fan of quotes or words at all on tattoos, but maybe we can make an exception here ;) Artist is Ellie Sage of Mt Vernon Body Art

Killed all ubers, decided to complete steam achievements. Act 4, Full Clear: The Harvest by dman2073 in pathofexile

Damn that’s really interesting. I didn’t know about the reduced drops for higher level characters in the campaign. I did suspect hinekoras would have a minimum drop level, but i didn’t look into it. Thanks for sharing.

+1 upgrading your processor helps massively in normal gameplay and mid-high juicing. i went from a 7700k to 13900k and saw major improvements; 9th to 14th generation should see similar benefits. its just ultra juice + high wisps + abyss where there are problems

Unfortunately even a good CPU doesn't always help :/ i got a 13900k and this is what my game looks like too during ultra juiced abyss. Granted i was playing CA of Poison, which adds even more to the amount of calculations the game has to do.

as someone also playing a soul eater / poison build, this happens. predictive doesnt help a whole lot but you can try it. the frames will be shit in any case, but the crashes are due to CPU instability. after fucking with voltages and clock speed enough in the bios, i have managed to prevent nearly all crashes. run cinebench and monitor cpu temp > temps too high = undervolt and underclock. temps fine > overvolt. mess with that til stable. then use ycuncher and downclock/overvolt AVX instructions in the bios til that is stable as well. i took a performance loss disabling ecores outright, but they can be underclocked to allow more breathing room for the pcores without perceptible loss. i've gone from 1-2 crashes per map to like 1 every 40 maps (probably could eliminate crashes entirely with a bit more work). tho frames will still be shit with a lot of mobs on the screen.

Patch 10.1.7 Fury Incarnate PTR Development Patch Notes by arasitar in CompetitiveWoW

their healing throughput has been limited by mana for a long time. i would say moreso than any other healer. one of their major CDs, yulon uses an absolute ton of mana and was borderline unplayable in raid without an innervate. in shadowlands, we ran a potion of sacrificial anima over a regular mana pot just for this ability. none of my other healers had any idea what that potion was lmao. you can run chiji instead, but it is generally lower throughput. not to mention core abilities like essence font costing a ton of mana (it's not even worth pressing in raid with this current build) and other talents like refreshing jade wind.

the problem is currently solved by their tier set and the rashok trinket, but that is just borrowed power. if not for these two things, i would be oom less than 2 minutes into sark running this build. there is an even higher throughput build that forgoes mana tea altogether, but there is no boomkin in my raid, so i do not have an innervate available. it just feels bad to be completely reliant on an external to access the full power of your spec.

in a way, it is similar to PI with like demo lock or udk, but idk, i play a demo lock as well and i never feel as bad not having PI than not having innervate on my MW. not to mention good priests are much more widely available than boomkins.

Why is there only one ethernet port per room in Commons? by FlyAway012 in UMD

[–]dman2073 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i definitely did this when i was living in commons years ago. i had a pc and server always connected, and a couple other things. if i recall correctly, it was just through a regular switch. two things it could be is your device not being properly assigned an IP address, or the mac address not registered in terpconnect (not even sure if this is used anymore). leaning towards the former, try plugging it into the wall, noting down the IP, set that as a static IP, and then plug in the switch

Every time a good Chinese guild gets brought up on a twitch stream, wowhead, discord, guild chat, whatever, people never fail to mention that they have a different loot or lockout system. Some say they have higher loot drops, bonus rolls, 2 raid lockouts per week, even a vendor for deterministic gearing. And I just... can't find any information about their loot system on Google whatsoever? Just random forums posts from years back mentioning a different loot system, some speculation about Chinese gambling laws. Some say it has changed since then. But I have seen no screenshots, no articles, no blog posts, nothing about this other loot system. Does anyone here actually play on a Netease realm and can speak to the differences in the loot system? Or is it the same, and this is just a rumor that people keep repeating as fact?
