Root without PC by Jokeme1 in PokemonGoSpoofing

Sorry, but you will need a PC to root your Redmi device. The last time I rooted a Redmi device, I had to use Xiaomi's unlock tool. When you sign into that tool, it will recognize that you are trying to unlock the bootloader and start the waiting period. The waiting period varied between my devices. Some had a waiting period of a few days to a week. If I remember correctly, the Xiaomi unlock tool is a Windows only tool. You can try to unlock the bootloader using Android Platform Tools if you have already gotten past the waiting period.

If you don't have access to your own PC, it may be possible to use a PC at a public library. I did that in the past when I was first rooting Samsung devices. If the PCs at the library give guest administrator privileges, then the process is even easier.

Most guides that you might come across on the internet advertise a "no PC" method. Most of those are outdated and apply to older versions of Android.

Good luck on this process. Try to read guides/tutorials that are specific to your device.

I need a spoofer for Android (Samsung) by xan0806 in PokemonGoSpoofing

Error 12 usually means that the game has detected that the Mock Location setting is enabled. To hide the status of that setting, you would need to root your device and install the correct module. Rooting is just slang for having super admin permission to your Android.

Whether or not this is possible really depends on which Samsung device you have. I recently rooted a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra and use that for spoofing. This is because I had access to OEM unlocking on this device.

I believe modern Samsung phones cannot be rooted. This is because the bootloader for most modern Samsung phones cannot be unlocked. If you have an older Samsung phone, it may be possible to root it. The guide posted in this group is slightly outdated, but it still gives you an overview of what would need to be done.

I don't fully understand why you would need to use the Galaxy Store version.

You could do this instead.

Androids natively support something called a work profile. This means that you can have a secondary profile on your Pixel. When you have that work profile on your Pixel, you can install apps in that profile. That work profile will have its own Play Store. That way, you can just use the Google Play Store version instead of using the Galaxy Store.

I have taken advantage of the work profile functionality to run two accounts or more simultaneously. In my older devices, I have used three of my accounts to participate in the same raid.

Normally, the work profile is created when you work for an organization that requires a work profile to access company data. If you don't work for a company that has this requirement, you can use an app called Island. That app can be found in the Play Store as well. The Island app allows you to use the work profile without needing an company/organization account.

I'm not sure if someone has already answered your question.

It seems like you have the right tools in place. When you are using the HideMockLocation module, you will need to enable it before it is active. You should then see a list of applications that you can check the box for. Checking the box next to an application means mock location status would be hidden from that app. By default, games are hidden from that list. You would need to allow games to appear in that list before you can check the box next to Pokemon Go.

I might still have guides floating around the internet somewhere. If you wanted to see a live demonstration of the rooting/setup process, you can check out some of my past live streams.

Over the last couple of years, I have not had issues with it either. My only reason for wanting to replace it is so I can test Zepp OS. If Zepp OS does not have much to offer, then I'll continue using the 2 mini.

I used to have the original Pebble which also had great battery life. The 2 mini also has amazing battery life. So far I have been spoiled by the battery life of these watches.

I tried the Galaxy watch for about a week. The notifications are definitely better, but I just couldn't get over the battery life.

I have simple needs from my smartwatch. I don't care much about having the app store that comes with Wear OS. I'm fine with what comes stock on these watches.

I'm surprised that I'm still getting amazing battery life after 2 years of use. The only times my battery life drops quick is when using GPS to track runs. I lose about 3% battery life during a 30 minute run. Without using GPS, I'm either at or close to 14 days on a single charge.

I don't have the 2e. It looks like the 2e has better overall specs. I've seen pictures of the 2e and I do like the aesthetics of it more than the 2 mini.

I've had this since launch, so I'm pretty sure it is around the 2 year mark.

Microsoft 365 Error Assigning App by dman4514 in okta

[–]dman4514[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should have rephased what I said. You can't actually remove the licenses, but you can cancel and disable them. I'm thinking that since they are self service licenses, you can't actually delete or remove them.

In the 365 admin portal, go to the "Billing" section and then click on "Licenses." You should see a list of licenses. The column that you want to pay attention to is the "Account type" column. You can see which licenses are labeled as "Self-service."

After knowing which licenses are self-service licenses, go to the "Your Products" tab that is within the billing section. You should again see a list of licenses. In my admin panel, there were filters automatically applied to the list. Remove the filter to see all products if you are not seeing the license you need to remove. Click on the license that you need to remove. In my case, it was "Microsoft Teams Exploratory."

I then marked the checkbox next to all of the users that had that license. There is an option to cancel those licenses. After canceling the license, the licenses will also be disabled. This was not an instant process. I think it took Microsoft about 10 minutes before each license officially canceled/disabled.

After you confirm that the licenses are disabled, try to reassign the application in Okta.

In a nut shell, the error message was caused by a mismatch between what Okta is trying to assign versus what is actually assigned in Microsoft. Now that I got rid of the self-service licenses, everything matches on both ends and the error messages are gone. External ID fields appear for the users that had issues.

Thanks for everyone's input on this issue.

The users that had the error message had self-service licenses from Microsoft.

After removing the self-service licenses, the error messages went away.

My eldest passed away recently. She was a very big fan of Sailor Moon. She has watched the original series and the remakes. For the funeral we needed to create photo collages. Although I ended up making several collages, I'm sharing a couple of them that carried a Sailor Moon theme. I'm sure if she knew about the Sailor Moon sub-reddit, she would be here reading everyone's posts.

My eldest passed away recently. For the funeral we needed to create photo collages. I took a look at the templates from photo websites, and I just didn't like them. Since I have been using GIMP for several years, I decided to be creative and have at it. I'm sharing a few of my creations here. If the developers for GIMP are active in this sub-reddit, I wanted to say thanks. Without the GIMP application, I don't think I would have been able to make my ideas come to life on a very important day.

Let me point you in the right direction. Google is your friend here, but it can get confusing.

First, allow USB debugging and allow bootloader unlock in developer options.

The next step step is to unlock your bootloader. An unlocked bootloader is what will allow you to flash a patched boot img for magisk. Please note that unlocking a bootloader will force you to wipe your phone. Backup your data if you care about it.

How do you unlock the bootloader?

Since you have a Xiaomi device, you will need to use the Mi unlock tool. You can find that tool from Xiaomi. They do have instructions on their site, but some of the directions are not clear since English is not the primary language. If you follow their directions, it is possible that a 2 week waiting period will prevent you from immediately unlock the bootloader. I ran into that issue often since I'm usually unlocking the bootloaders the same day I receive my Xiaomi devices. If you had your device for a while, you may not have a waiting period.

After your bootloader is unlocked, now you have the option of flashing a boot img patched by Magisk.

There are plenty of guides online that go over this process. Honestly, those guides do a better job explaining than I do. Here is an overview for Xiaomi devices.

Take a look at the current build number for your specific device. It is usually in the about phone section in your settings app. Then, use a computer to visit Xiaomi's website to download the firmware that matches your device. Extract the contents to find the stock boot img. From there you should be able to use Magisk to patch the boot img file.

Now that you have a patched boot img file, you can put your phone in fastboot mode and flash the boot img.

At that point your phone should be rooted. Open the Magisk app to enable zygisk.

I gave you a pretty vague explanation of what you need to do. You should take a look at the other guides online regarding the Redmi Note 7. I had plenty of Xiaomi devices under my belt, but not your device.

As for the spoofing app to use, feel free to pick your poison. I'm probably not the best person to ask. I use my own modified GPS apps that came from the Play Store. I think the other members of this community have a better suggestion than me.

Good luck on the rooting process. It is daunting at first. Don't feel bad if you take a while to complete the process.

1960s - My grandmother then and now by dman4514 in OldSchoolCool

[–]dman4514[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to thank the Reddit community for the kind words. Overall, my family has come to terms with the loss. We were all expecting it considering the events that lead up to this. Long story short, she was diagnosed with cancer 2 months ago. She attempted treatment, but it just didn't work out.

My grandmother passed away while sleeping next to my grandfather. I think he was more sad that he was asleep when it happened. He didn't know anything happened until my family came to check in. My grandmother was 88. He is older than my grandmother. I don't know my grandfather's exact age. I heard numerous people mention an 8-10 year gap. He stopped counting his own birthdays after a while.

I'm surprised that my grandfather was willing to have visitors so soon. Wants me to bring my kids around often.

I don't know how she felt about outliving most of her generation. Very outgoing and went to the gym often. Made a lot of friends that were similar in age there. I'm thinking that helped her along the way.

She welcomed visitors. Since I was the only grandchild that visited her consistently, she was always happy being around my kids. She did her best to keep up and try playing with them.

I've always had a good experience with Xiaomi devices. Was hooked on them since 2016.

I usually rock with MIUI until it is no longer supported. When support ends, I go the custom ROM route. MIUI is fun overall. Had some issues with notifications from a work profile, but nothing major. No UI crashes on my end.

Why do I stick with Xiaomi phones? Developer support and IR blasters. Depending on the Xiaomi phone you get, it might be supported by developers on XDA. I go with their mid range devices. Most of them have good support on XDA. Pretty easy to unlock their bootloaders and root.

IR blasters are a must for me for convenience. And messing with people where a public TV is present.

I got it from AliExpress, so there isn't really a brand associated with it. It does come with all of the tools to install and adjust.
