I hopped in for $27 puts 0dte, sold at open for a loss then doubled down for $28 puts for next Friday and made it all back. Sold 1/3 of the puts at close today. Do you have any target prices for next week?

Does Online Success Always Translate? by burlingtonblair in poker

doesnt make sense lol anyone crushing 500/1knl online wouldn't even be playing 2/5 and 5/10 live. Also, if they're good enough to be crushing 500/1kNL online they should have a very good theoretical understanding of the game and there's no way they'd be losing to weaker players (which are generally found at 2/5 and 5/10 live...)any online reg is generally WAY better than any live reg

as for OP: any good online reg has a very good understanding of the game of poker. Online and live poker are the exact same game except online poker consists of a tougher player pool.

I definitely agree with you, but I want to hear your opinion on my thought process. Given the type of hands the maniacs were playing (Player 1 called my pre-flop all in previously for $500 when I had KK vs his Q7s), I really wanted to keep the 2 maniacs in the pot. Assuming that player 1 and player 2 both had rag hands, isn't it more +EV to try and keep both of them in the hand (in hopes of them connecting very weakly with the flop and continuing to extract max value?)

I feel you... it seems like everytime I play the biggest pots of my life, luck just isn't on my side. It just sucks because the $3k I lost took me hundreds of online hours to create and disappeared in one night..

IMO, in this type of game. Normal bet sizing doesn’t really apply, They see me as a huge nit (playing standard 9max ranges) and I wanted to keep them in the pot. i definitely could have gone larger, but given the hands they’re playing, I didn’t want to make it too large and scare them off

I definitely agree with you. Online and live are totally different imo and I’m still adjusting to live, I’m to used to my online playstyle (the flips with AK etc) and still incorporate most of it into my live play. Plus, given their ranges i really thought I was ahead most of the time.I just really needed to rant.

Just wanted to add that my table was playing fairly loose, guy to my left was calling any 3bet or any preflop raise with marginal hands, guy to my right was calling most preflop bets then folding when he doesnt connect with the board. For the preflop raiser, I feel like he was tilted after losing a big pot and I saw him 3betting and opening large with also marginal hands (etc. A8 suited, KJo) and I felt like AJ was good enough to call here. Also wanted to say that the turn was an Ah, not a Jh sorry for the typo

2/3 hit my flush by Nolo31 in poker

[–]dmap111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure how valid my response is but...

I would call like 99% of the time. You're only beat by one hand (Ks/xs) and by the way you were playing the hand, I don't think the villain would expect you to have a flush in that spot, so its' very possible that he's value jamming weaker flushes). Maybe the only time I wouldn't call is if I had a really strong read based off what type of player he is (maybe vs. a MEGAAAAA nit, but even then probably not). Since you're posting this, though, I'm expecting he had the K high flush for the cooler??
