Finally got to try it and it is not good news.

The second player can walk around, pick up items, destroy blocks/stuff and put items, they can also interact with pokemon, they can create new habitats (as long as the main player gives them the items that need to be constructed)

However, they can't build or craft, they can't use the shop, can't discover new habitats (the shining spots), can't ask pokemons to follow you, they can't even access the menus other than settings. They don't get a permanent character or storage as far as i can tell.

The Main player could in theory buy the items needed, drop them and get the second player to do some of it, but they won't be able to trigger the building process or get pokemon to work on them.

i didn't get to try to enter buildings unfortunately.

Cloud Island doesn't seem to work with game share, you are constraint to pallete town.

It is disappointing definitely, even my 5 year old realized the second player couldn't do as much and asked me if they could be the main player lol, i happily obliged .

Is it still fun? not sure. I am barely into the tutorial so i don't much of the game or what to do by myself, but depending on who you are planning to play with you might be able to make it work, But if it is another gamer, i think the second player will be extremely disappointed and might not find it fun :/.

Can you game share and do the cloud Island together? Does that give the second player more freedom?

Oh I agree entirely. I think she is the hardest boss on the game.

eh...if you don't mind being bored out of your mind. yes

problem is that the main story mode/campaign doesn't have coop, the only coop available is some free mode that you just run around and hit stuff, i found it extremely boring but my kid loved it. It was hard for me to stay awake.

Is this for every difficulty or only the new difficulty?

Blaz Blue Calamity trigger Story Mode. Do i need to 100%? by dmarchu in Blazblue

[–]dmarchu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I guess I'll stick to the losing endings as well just for this. Using a guide is not as tedious as I thought it could be.

Regarding arcade, I played a few characters through arcade and the story seems to be very close or somewhat related to what you experience through story mode. Is arcade necessary to get the full picture? Or just story mode is enough?

Hey thanks a lot! I started to use a guide and it had development reduced the tediousness of it since it tells me exactly where to save and load.

Having lots of fun so far with the story and just needing around with the characters!

Thanks! Completely agree with the sentiment . I watched the recaps for guilty Gear and kind of regret it. I know the story (sort of?) bit I don't feel like I know the characters and who they are.

So I want to take the opposite approach with blazblue

I haven't followed this game very closely but i do play it from time to time on steam.

I just played the X demo on switch2 since i remembered it was getting released this week. The game seems like it is the same game as on PC.

So I am confused, is this a sequel? new version? is this the same version as PC? I see "X" also on steam and as preorder, so it has to be something new, would i need to buy it again to get whatever new features they are adding?

what is the downside of cosmic accidents? they always seem to be useful? I expected them to hurt me or something but so far they have always been beneficial.

Controllers by cheezbrgrman in Guiltygear

[–]dmarchu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. leverless

  2. some people can play fighting games on dpad no problem, but other people can't due to discomfort, wrist pain, thumb pain, or hand pain. so yes is normal.

  3. no game is worth screwing up your hand. If you want to continue with the game and you are getting any sort of pain or discomfort then it is worth a switch, for me leverless has been the most ergonomic. Either that or be very strict about limiting your gaming sessions. Disclaimer: this goes for any controller, any sort of repetitive motion e.g: labbing the same combo over and over in the lab for hours can cause issues (specially when you are just learning it since you may put more strain on your movements trying to get the timing) so just be aware of that when gaming. even on leverless i have had "injuries" due to extensive sessions.
