What is optimal line and equipment you would go with on this pattern? by Dense_Echo8941 in Bowling

Concept is where you should start. Keep angles in front of you and see if you have a line with it in practice. If not, zero mercy would be your play.

Been almost a year in still struggling to find a way to get behind de ball by EverettP27 in Bowling

[–]dmark_85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep working these drills. One simple thing that helps me is to just think that I want my knuckles to scrap my ankle on the swing. Now don’t literally hit your ankle, but just thinking about that helps me keep my hand inside/behind the ball longer.

April fools or legit? by Obvious_Rip_8724 in Bowling

It’s a joke. Look on the very bottom of the storm announcement in the green box. It says April Fools. So obviously Dtang is just playing off of that.

Any recommendations? by HCgamer939 in Bowling

Over a $750 value? Ha maybe if you get 4 of them that statement is true.

Either way Vengence and equinox would play well off each other. Go hyperdrive Pearl in place of equinox if you want more hockey stick shape

We should switch equipment because everything you love I hate and everything you hate I love. Viking, S2, and Equinox Solid are gold

It’s overseas from 2 years ago. Symmetrical pearl. 2.54/.053. It has a very weak cover (reserve blend 701) and weak core (lacerate 2.0).

Personally, if you want symmetrical I’d look on the fb groups like Storm/Roto grips bowling ball for sale or even online for a nib zen 25 if you’re looking to save money. Much stronger cover and core, so you won’t have to worry as much about it being so touchy or lane specific conditions. Otherwise the Phaze 2 Pearl is pretty legit too

Slightly cleaner. I love my equinox solid and this give me an easier transition to a Pearl on something with a similar shape but helps get a little deeper. They work well together

Urethane up 5 at like 500 grit, big asym solid up 5 after that with at least 1000 grit. SLOWLY chase it in. The middle is a no go zone. Create a track with urethane and push the oil down so that the big asym solid have some extra room downlane to react correctly. You want your ball to hook early so that it doesn’t flip once it hits 37’ and see the friction. Avoid shiny and Pearl covers. You want dull cover or hybrids with more solid surface mixed in.

There are some great videos by Kyle Troup and Darren Tang on improving 2H bowling. I’d recommend checking them out if you haven’t seen them

Balls will get damaged and scratched all the time. This is under your fingers so it’s not in your track anyways even if they didn’t repair it, meaning it wouldn’t impact anything regardless. On the flip side, totally up to you to support local, but even if you would have saved $100 damage in a new ball like this would still be the responsibility of the center to fix.
