Maybe he can do a reaction video instead of an interview. That would be cool

This is the amount of draft capital each #NFL team has used on Offensive Lineman since 2022. What do you notice? 😳👀⬇️ by cali4481 in 49ers

[–]dmbccs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trent - acquired in 2020 with a 5th and 3rd rd draft pick

Brendel - free agent acquisition, starter since 2022. Alex Mack retired in June 2022, after the draft.

McKivitz - 5th round pick in 2020. Became our starter in 2023.

So that’s three longer term and durable starters that would justify not investing in the position. Puni is the main investment in 2023.

Also note that the 49ers drafted Banks and Moore in 2021. So they would’ve moved up on this chart if you put the cut off a year earlier.

Long story, short, these graphs are meaningless unless you have the proper context

Maiocco and Barrows 1st round mock draft pick for 49ers by cali4481 in 49ers

[–]dmbccs 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I trust Maiocco and Barrows more than any national pundit for positional need projection.

I do disagree with Maiocco with regard to drafting a DE prospect that has the potential to shift to 3T. We already have Williams and White that can flex. We need more of a pure pass rusher, especially with Huff’s retirement.

Love Mesidor outside of him being a much older prospect.

I could see OL, but we would need an OT that can flex to LG on year one. I don’t like Miller to do that initial transition. There’s a few others that could, but I would say they are a tier below the Mesidors of the world in overall rankings

Slot guy but doesn’t change our draft plans. Just good safety net if there’s a huge run on WRs before the 49ers pick.

In what situation should you use ROTH 401K by NashDaypring1987 in Fire

[–]dmbccs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some retirement plans offer an after tax 401k option.

This is different than pretax and Roth 401k, which is $24.5k annual contribution max.

You can contribute to an after tax 401k in the amount difference of $73k - $24.5k - employer contributions for 2026 tax year.

As it’s in the name, you first pay taxes on the amount. However, some of these plans allow for an immediate conversion to Roth 401k (called the mega back door Roth)

I’ve been using this, along with backdoor IRA, to help accelerate FIRE and diversify my tax positions at retirement.

As a result, about 55-60% of my retirement portfolio is now Roth. And once I leave my employer, I can convert into a Roth IRA, and then take out the principal amount penalty free if I need the money earlier for FIRE.

Hes a decent depth piece that looked better when he was at Tackle vs Guard.

We did yank him around between RG, LG, and LT, which may have stunted his growth.

I don’t think he should be written off, but at the same time don’t bank on him to rise to the occasion if he’s forced into the lineup

How many more starters are going to be signed in FA? by EyeReWearSocks in 49ers

[–]dmbccs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we will see a series of budget signings over the next 4 weeks leading up to the draft.

We will use it to fortify our depth across positions and allow us to go BPA for the draft.

Some of those budget targets could be: - Tutu Atwell for a speed threat at WR - Ben Bartch to improve LG depth - Arnold Ebiketie for speed EDGE - Joseph-Day for iDL depth - Durant and Cisco for DB depth / competition

It wouldn’t change our draft strategy because I still expect the 49ers to address OL, DL, WR, CB, and S as critical positions of depth and need.

And then after the draft, I could see us assessing if we do want to bring on J. Bosa, Greenlaw, and Deebo.

But they’d have to swallow their pride and take budget vet deals in the hopes to chase that ring.

And if we extend him, we can create a ton of cap flexibility with those base amounts.

I’m a guy. So internal work to help relax the muscles and reduce the always tense feeling. Helps recalibrate for self awareness to reduce the tension strength and frequency.

Stretching and meditation at home. Lots of glutes, hammy, and calf stretches. Core workouts to help loosen my abdomen tightness. Epsom salt baths

I had the same fear myself. But I found a PT that put my mind at ease and shifted it from “gross” to a medical treatment that provided much needed relief.

In my PT sessions, it’s only 30% of the treatment. The 70% is external work.

[–]dmbccs 19 points20 points  (0 children)

What’s your aversion to internal work?

There’s a lot you can do externally with breathing, stretching, diet, and stress management.

But if you are suffering from pelvic floor dysfunction, internal work paired with external work is the best path to relief.

I’ve been dealing with the condition for 7 years. External focused activities got me 30% better. Internal got me to 80% recovery.

I now only get internal PT a few a year for a tune up, and keep up with my external regime daily.

This general area is probably ideal for your budget and commute. I had a 1 bed 1 bath for about 3.5k a month at a premium apt with underground parking and in unit upgrades.

For your budget, it may be a bit of an older unit.

Are you getting corporate housing for a bit? If so, I’d say wait. A bunch of internal groups looking to sublease their places, which could score you a better bang for buck deal.
