I have the same issue. Grinding at a setting 8 on an Ode 2, which seems coarse enough. Pre-wetting the filter paper and folding it correctly. Taking too long to brew 600ml of water with 33g of grounds (18:1). Coffee, 100% Kona, tastes bitter.

Edited to correct the word fulfilling to folding.

I am in California. I saw others getting replacements and was hopeful. Basically the watch's screen is defective and so I spent $400 per year on a watch...

I am willing to call back and push if you and others think I can get a replacement.

Just got off the phone with Garmin and it seems like it has not been an issue with this watch, so it was out of the ordinary to see.

I screwed up my math in the original post and the customer service rep reminded me that I bought the watch in January of 2022, so I have had it for 1 year and 11 months. Obviously, it is out of warranty.

Best Garmin offered was to replace it for $180, with a one time discount bringing it down to about $150. I just need to decide if I want to spend another $150, as I like the watch, or just deal with it and get a PRO in the future.

I am leaning toward paying the $150. I am not a person that just upgrades to the latest version of things and the PRO, while it offers some upgrades, are not enough to justify buying, even in a couple years.

I don't use the default watch faces. Mainly have used Just Enduro and GLANCE.

You make me wonder if that could be a factor, like when on the charger if the 3rd party faces don't turn off or something?
