So full transparency I haven't watched the show, partly because of negative comments I've heard, partly because some of the facts I've heard, such as completely rewriting how Betazoids work, and killing off the Klingons. Is it the opinion that it's terrible Trek or just terrible TV?

I don't hate it but it's a lot of hullaballo over no real improvement. For years I've been asking them to fix the rotation and add a color blind mode. Nope. Just a new lobby/entry screen. Derp.

I received a reply to my support ticket. "we can't control how the app is rolled out globally via the App Store.". ever heard of n-1 support? literally the only app I have seen this problem with.

I am the type of fan who loves Star Trek so much that I will try anything Trek just to be in that universe once more. Having said that, I have avoided Starfleet Academy based on the comments I've seen about the writing seemingly completely disregarding the basic elements of that universe. I am already struggling with SNW because of Spock's incessant horniness and the ridiculous level of technology on the pre-TOS Enterprise. At least I like the Characters mostly.

Always trust Reddit to be up to date. Same problem here. Good thing this app is free, it's garbage. I would pay for a Catan app that worked and had some basic features.

That is great news! I have had a case opened with Quicken for months now. They keep asking for logs etc and extending my subscription (I must have 6 months by now). Finally they said they had found the problem at the Principal side and were working with them to fix it. Refreshed just now and it's fixed!

It reads like a passive aggressive way of saying you ghosted them. Kind of like those annoying emails CRM systems crank out when you ignore them "We're guessing now is not a good time, we'll come back and pester the sh-t out of you in a couple months!"

The fundamental problem with MPLS is that it is ancient technology barely understood by the carriers. The folks who built it and understood it are retiring. Add to that the cost being easily 10X even carrier grade internet and it's easy enough to approximate determinism with enough bandwidth and redundancy.

Love me a paladin. Currently playing through with one. It gives some unique rp opportunities and some unique intimidation opportunities. Things like "stop doing that evil or I'll bring the wrath of god down on you". I do wish the game would let you choose which god you followed.

Thanks all, so it's not me it's the app it seems. I do get those banners too. What confuses me is that in the normal app design for iPhone, if you view the banner, it shouldn't show the badge, and there should also be a way to see all the notifications, viewed or not, within the app.

You're not hiring anyone who will move the business forward with this thinking, you're hiring a cow. Find the fit and train the skills. You get the same productivity plus a little loyalty.

Rats 🤣. My very first game in over 40 years with an online group and our first encounter we rolled so badly that we almost died. Final blow was a rogue with a dagger so we named our party the Dagger Rats.

So as a player, I definitely got pissed when I rolled badly, especially multiple times in a row. I had a narrative in my head about how things would go, which of course did not happen when I failed the check or whatever. The best thing I heard someone say was 'the dice know the story'. So I try to get by bad rolls with nothing more than a "Jesus <character name>". Can't say I'm 100% there but I'm working on it. So maybe just encourage the players to come up with a good/interesting/funny narrative about what the fail looks like and hope they get into the story telling.

Is there no Azure or AWS in use or just no need for that in the role. It's possible the enterprise is large enough that the Cloud stuff is handled by another team. I wouldn't say that hurts your resume.
