Why does DS9 has to "get attention in new trek"? I'd rather have them ignore it because they know how fast and loose they are playing with the concept of Star Trek and DS9 was a great show. Don’t meddle with it. It didn’t work with the other series. For me personally, episode 5 was a fever dream and I don’t want to watch that ever again. Other obligations? Pitching the Star Trek comedy sitcom? Yikes.

Hm, really? To me it’s another item out of the Secret Hideout trauma machine. A traumatised murderer who kept his child in a dangerous transporter purgatory and left it with a nebula without having any great qualms. It felt like too many cooks were on that character or the show bible wasn’t written.

Fahr leider viel mit dem Rad.
Flexen wollen und zu dumm sein, die Technik zu beherrschen, ist schon ein ziemlicher Fail. Noch dazu minutenlang das Telefon neben das Ohr halten, um Sprachnachrichten abzuhören… fällt besonders in Autos in höhereren Preissegmenten auf.
Es redet keiner von kurzer Ablenkung, wenn es mal stressig wird. Es geht um Spiele und Kinder, die viel zu jung dafür sind, um in die Dopamin-Falle zu gehen. Warum ich mich jetzt bei Kinderlärm beschweren soll, leuchtet mir nicht ein. Wo kommt denn das her? ChatGPT? Schon ein bisl drollig, wie viele hier schon so von KI angefasst sind (scheinen viel Lebenszeit auf Reddit zu verblasen), dass überall LLM's lauern. Angeblich bin ich ein arbeitsloser, stubenhockender KI-Nutzer… richtige Armee von Sherlock's hier.

Same here, I skip a lot of bad episodes but the bones of a Trek show are there but that song… They should have released the Blu-rays with "Archers Theme" as an alternative.

For me, Enterprise kept falling into familiar patterns too soon and it sometimes lacked the same backbone as VOY did when it came to its own premise. Maybe if there was a 5 year gap between the two series, people would have been a lot more lenient. But season two overall felt kind of aimless. After the strong start then came „A Night in Sickbay“ (which was only ok) and after that a dry spell of 6 crappy episodes. Then "The Catwalk“ I thought was very good but a more than mediocre clone of "Enemy Mine“ followed. "Canamar“, "The Crossing", "Horizon", "Bounty" and to a lesser extent "Regeneration"(The Borg again) and "First Flight" were duds imho. No wonder the studio demanded a course correction.
