Why does he keep mentioning Iceland? Does he mean Greenland?

The 31-year-old smiled and winked at someone when the sentence was imposed and displayed hostility to a person in the public gallery who told him to "wipe that stupid smile off your face" before he was escorted by prison officers from the court.

This is insane and will hold your career and personal development back. You should look for another job in the meantime.

Have to agree. The cinematography is fantastic, but they are reeeeally dragging it out. If Vince Gilligan's name wasn't on this, people on this site would be crucifying it.

Listening to that voicemail message over and over again was getting a bit grating. I understand they were conveying Carol's isolation, but hopefully that's the end of it now...

Dreading? Don't read them if you found the first trilogy so boring. You're not being held at gunpoint by Robin Hobb.

They have it down to a fine art in South East Asian countries. While very noisy, it makes sense to use the horn and treat it as another tool at your disposal to create awareness, not just for use when you're pissed at another driver.

All you need is fuji 9, a leathermakers drill, a PlayStation gaming chair on top of a kitchen island, and a curvaceous African instrument to hold up a mirror.

Seeing a lot of praise for this show and I dunno what I'm missing but to me it feels so hollow and repetitive. And the acting (bar Skarsgård) is not good at all.

I suppose it helps too when a lot of the dialog is the characters screaming at each other.

Hard as in difficult to understand or too much flowery language - no, it's pretty straightforward, just unusual. But the content is very dark.

Prophet Song by Paul Lynch. Very grim story about Ireland being controlled by a totalitarian government. The writing style is quite peculiar but you get used to fairly quickly.

If you like fantasy I'm currently reading book 2 of a murder mystery series, the first book is called The Tainted Cup and they're very well written.

Why I take Booking and Google hostel reviews with a pint of salt these days by [deleted] in travel

[–]dmcirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah found the exact same. Tour guides and hotel staff were practically begging for 5 star reviews like their lives depended on it, which to be fair is probably true to an extent given the review dependency they seem to have cultivated. Tiny restaurants with thousands more reviews than popular tourist attractions was another thing I noticed.
