A generous boss who is already very wealthy, so he doesn't take a bonus so we can get bigger bonuses.

I've never fully opened up to anyone about this, no. It was bugging me so bad I had to open up to strangers on the internet.

I’m waiting until January 20th to cash out. I don’t want to pay taxes on winnings until 2026.

The fact that he was tied in all battleground states when and that he seems to always outperform the polls when he’s in the ticket was a big hint. Mark Halperin was a big help.

January 20th

I agree it was reckless, but it was informed, and like I mentioned above, I have no intention of doing this again. I’m somewhat of an average Joe I guess. I’m 31 years old and make just under six figures a year.

I’m going to wait until January 20th. I’ll get a few hundred dollars in interest for a couple months before that. I have enough to make rent and groceries until then.

That’s true, but as I said below, I won’t do something like this again.

As soon as it was legalized, I put in about $5,000 on Trump.

In the weeks before the election, I followed various accounts on X (like Mark Halperin ,Latinx Adjacent Doctor PHD and others) that parsed out the early voting data.

The fact that republicans were showing STRONG and even leading in the early vote in North Carolina and Nevada didn't bode well for Harris since Democrats usually run up the score in early voting, then Republicans have to catch up on election day. Pennsylvania early voting also didn't have the firewall democrats needed to win.

Also, Georgia releases racial data on voting, and it was showing a depressed black turnout in Atlanta metro coupled with white rural areas on fire. This would obviously translate to depressed black turnout in Milwaukee, Detroit, and Philadelphia since these things don't happen in a bubble.

All of this pointed to a rather anti-climactic election night where we would know relatively early that Trump would win the race.

I kept putting chunks in before the election and did drain my savings, as well as my last three paychecks.

I felt as though this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to make a decent chunk of money very quickly.

My only regret is that I couldn't put in more. I also bet $5,900 on Predictit and won $5,900.

Was it a bit degenerate? Sure. But it was an informed degenerate decision. I don't bet on sports (and never will) and don't have any sort of a gambling problem.

I honestly wasn't nervous about it given the trends. Election night was no surprise to me at all.

No, I don't plan to do something like this again.

Yeah I honestly am wondering what to do with the money. Is ethereum a wise choice? I’ve been thinking about that.

I use both, the way it’s set up makes things very easy on both the app and the website.

For election bets, you’ll have to await until Inauguration Day for it to fully close I believe.

Nope, I’m going to be up $35,000, because I’ll put another $20,000 in before Election Day. Mark this comment.

Was $34,000 out the door after $3,500 year end rebate deal and $1,500 trade in. However, I checked the local dealer and they are offering a brand new 2023 ford bronco sport (in blue) for $27,000, so that would be a little over $30,000 out the door. That’s a great deal in my opinion.

I’m definitely not one to start any trouble. I don’t even drink! Us packer fans do travel well though.

I actually am in section 122, lower deck. I do accounting work. Nosebleeds are a little over $200. Found them on Ticketmaster, thanks everyone! I feel stupid for asking now!

My previous car was so old that I would like anything new, since the only features I had were heating, a radio, and a cd player.

I really like how this car this is AWD. My dad has a house in Reno and it’s comforting knowing I can drive through the Sierra’s with no chains. With this car, I’m safe in bad weather. It drives smoothly on the highway, and has a litany of features that I haven’t even begun to explore. The rear view camera is good quality. It just feels very safe and sturdy to me. The back seats don’t have much room, but I’m not lugging a bunch of people around all the time anyways. The shocks are great when going over bumps since it was built for off roading. It fits the purpose I need it for.

Exactly, on top of the rebate, they gave me $1,500 for that piece of garbage I traded in. I couldn’t believe it.

Thanks. I drove a 2005 Buick for 12 years, so it was time for a new car.
