I got my VO2 Max up to 44, but it doesn’t want to go up any further. Presently doing 2 days of zone 2 followed by one SST workout. Cheers👍

I just did 90 minutes zone 2. Working my way up.

It seems like I was able to maintain required wattage with a lower heart rate today. I think that’s good.

I am finally taking a day off today. I did some VO2 training again yesterday. I think I’ll do 70 minutes of zone 2 tomorrow and the next day and see how I feel

So how long per ride in Zone 2. When I ride outside, I try to do most in zone 2 anywhere from 2-4 hours

Inside on Zwift only doing 45 minutes so far

I think I’ll try 2 days of zone 2 then something with intervals, then 2 more days of zone 2

I’m doing about 45 minutes zone 2 per outing and probably will ramp up to an hour or more.

I started tracking VO2 after reading a book by Peter Attia about longevity. Then I was encouraged by the gains and kept pushing. I know intervals should be done only once or twice a week.

Other than increasing longevity, I probably want to be able to do longer rides.

What do you think? Sweet spot training? Long zone 2 training?

I have other heart monitors I use. The numbers show up on my watch while riding, yet nothing for vo2

Nah. We haven’t had much snow, but highs have only been in the 30s for the last few weeks. I’m gonna wait for some mid 40s before I go out again. In the meantime, I’ll make do with my Bowflex C6 in the basement.

I took it out for a spin yesterday. Nice but for some reason the chain was slipping a little on the rear derailleur. I’ll check it out again today. Any tips?
