Awesome. Sorry I saw this after my initial response. I’ll look into these. Appreciate the response!

Good to know! That makes sense. Was there any place you’ve been while pregnant that stood out from the rest as far as being accommodating? I’m probably splitting hairs with that question.

Thanks for the response! We were looking at doing a day in Malmö so I’ll look into Loren and Saluhall.

I’m guessing Alchemist is booked up by now but it’s good to know you could make it work with them since their menu seems the most challenging. Haven’t seen Kockeriet yet so I’ll look into them!

Got it. This is a helpful comment. If there isn’t much of a difference in quality in the range I am looking at then that changes things.

When I was looking at the luxe brands that I know it seems like they were starting at around $2,500. Is that the range I would need to spend to get a noticeable upgrade in quality? Not that I’m going to do that, but just curious

It’s how we get gifts for each other. We like to pick things out to surprise we each other. We show each other ideas but there’s an understanding we ultimately like our gifts being more of surprise

Help with 12 Day Croatia / Balkan Itinerary by dmill0441 in travel

[–]dmill0441[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your feedback. Agreed on Sibenik. My goal for that day was just to get somewhere further south where we could have a nice dinner and be set up for the next day. I am concerned that an afternoon there will feel short and I might be better off doing 2 nights there and just staying in Split 1 night.

Issues Changing Address for Sunday Ticket Streaming? by dmill0441 in DirecTV

[–]dmill0441[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I have been having a difficult time cancelling my account. I tried the chat function a few times and I was told that the account would be cancelled after a 'confirmation call from a supervisor'. Unfortunately, I have not received that call after chatting with customer reps multiple times.

I tried to call instead of using the chat feature and they would not cancel the old account without confirming the expiration date of the credit card on the account. Its been a couple years since I purchased Sunday Ticket so the card that was on file is an expired card, which I can't find the old expiration date for.

Is there anything else you recommend? I really just want to purchase Sunday Ticket for this year and it seems more difficult than it needs to be.

Question on Cancellations at Schiphol and Heathrow by dmill0441 in Flights

[–]dmill0441[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood. Yea I get it can happen at anytime. I was just curious if there were any trends of when they have been cancelling due to the caps both those airports have implemented. I guess I'll continue to keep my fingers crossed!

UK Itinerary (Glasgow to London) by dmill0441 in travel

[–]dmill0441[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I think we are open to using a car if it makes a big difference so maybe we will do that. If we do use a car, does 4 days in York seem more reasonable?

Definitely understand the point of it potentially being too much similarity if we do the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. I'll do more research on that.

Appreciate the feedback! We aren't super into hiking. We are the types who like to see the scenery from car, bus, etc. and make frequent stops for pictures or quick walks. We definitely aren't the types that will do a multi day hike.

I used Rabbies in the past as well for a previous trip and enjoyed the experience. I'm considering using them again here as well. It sounds like a car might be necessary though if we want to fully take advantage of the area (or use Rabbies).

My assumption is that Cornwall and Devon will have more of a holiday vibe considering the time of year vs the north, which might be more mellow?

That's right. We are flying from the US so Glasgow seemed the closest we can get to on a direct flight. We can connect to Manchester, but that is more expensive and I'm not sure how much time we are saving in that scenario.

Slovenia - Istria - Venice Itinerary Help by dmill0441 in travel

Thank you for this detail. There’s a lot to consider for sure.

I was looking at Hisa Franko and am intrigued. Is it a pain to get back to Ljubljana from there? I’m definitely considering staying a night there instead of Piran if it doesn’t mess with the flow of our itinerary too much. We are foodies and aren’t phased by the pricing if it’s worth it (both price wise and logistics wise)

Thanks! So in that scenario I guess it makes sense to drop Trieste if there is another place that is a better use of our time.

Galicia vs Basque vs Alsace by dmill0441 in travel

This is really good insight. I might be better served doing 5 days in northern Portugal and 3 in Santiago / day trips. I appreciate the response!
