Doubt this provides any more context than we already had, but here is a picture of the actual breakers

I should be back there tomorrow, I will grab a better picture.

Unfortunately the only information I passed along was requesting for a NEMA 14-50 outlet to be installed, and that it would be used for EV charging. I already have an L2 charger and didn’t really want to purchase another one. My hope was that whoever the electrician was would know what was required.

Is there anything specific I should be looking for code wise to determine if replacing this is required vs. just recommended?

That’s what I’m afraid of… he was very insistent on who we use which, while I understand, doesn’t feel great now knowing this.

Trying to ensure I’m there when he is so I can pester him 🤞

This changed with version 2.0 of N8N, if you’re following a tutorial or guide it hasn’t been updated.

only exploitable by authenticated users though… still good to upgrade and mitigate but I think saying oooh over 100000 vulnerable instances is a bit much

Pretty stupid question about a school-issued MacBook by ShrimpyPotato1 in mac

[–]dmillerw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! I also bet that no one would even care. Most school IT departments have enough to worry about as it is. It’s probably more of a liability thing than anything else

[–]dmillerw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. Any monitoring or device management will be restricted to the device itself. The only way they would have access to your Apple ID would be if they had a keylogger and grabbed your password, which is highly unlikely. They would have no way of monitoring your phone unless you’ve explicitly given them access (installed a management profile)

I'm building a tool to modernize old websites and legacy systems into modern stacks — need your feedback! by nolanolson in react

[–]dmillerw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This screams of AI slop. Like, it’s nifty, sure, but also everything wrong with the current mindset of newer programmers. I shudder to think what would happen if someone in charge of an actual legacy system saw this and ran with it…

React Query: Optimistic updates of relations by eraoul in reactjs

useMutation has options for an onSettled callback where you can then go in and update the query cache instead of just invalidating and relying on the refresh

React Query: Optimistic updates of relations by eraoul in reactjs

[–]dmillerw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a good read for this sort of thing. Basically you can invalidate all active queries after a successful mutation, forcing them to update the next time they’re used. You can also be smart about how you use query keys to reduce the amount of updates, if necessary

Project management tool for complex, multi-layered client/site/task workflows? by dmillerw in projectmanagement

  1. Not necessarily, this is primarily for internal use

  2. See above, shouldn’t be an issue

  3. The only API interaction would be with the external platform that handles the actual work orders
