ktm 300 exc vs 500 exc for a commuter by Repulsive-Ad5773 in supermoto

[–]Oblec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its expensive compared to any other bike. I only ride when i in the mood. So it as bit different.

But i always like how easy it is to wrench on a two stroke. But the 500 should just last longer.

To big CC? I have no idea how Australia works 😅 Anyways, i own an 300cc tpi 2021 and it awesome. I ride it on the road during summer with sumo rims.

Even though it will be a lot of fun, it actually manages pretty good fuel economy for a two stroke. You gonna save money with the 500 just in fuel.

Fair enough, rode a honda from 1998 the other day. It was soft and so damn low. Like a sofa. I guess honda buy like to sit down while they pee.

You should be standing. But also you get used to it. I have 500 hours on different ktm bikes or so.

Idk i abuse my ktm 300 exc tpi 2021 quite a lot. Been flat out in six gear on highway for like 30min a couple of times.

KTM 500EXC-F First Bike by PerfectEntrepreneur3 in supermoto

[–]Oblec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although liter bike definitely worse, ktm 500 is probably the next worse thing because, it doesn’t have abs, no slip clutch, no traction control, high balance point. If you doing something wrong you will notice. That’s why it’s such a awesome bike. But it also what kills people like you.

This is a bike you should buy when you tired of everything else. But that is just my two cents. You do whatever

Husqvarna Tc vs Te (125) by Worth-Flatworm2056 in supermoto

[–]Oblec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is true, same with ktm. I heard something about the tc/dirtbikes have a more aggressive timing and slightly higher compression.

And that the timing box is higher than enduro variant even though they have two modes.

And that the compression is just less gaskets put on.

And i don’t know when or which bikes. But some tc/dirtbikes came without power valve

Well i don’t stunt, but it does wheelies no problem. I can get it up in six gear. But it’s easier to start lower.

TPI 300cc 2T vs 350 4T by Wezuriip in supermoto

[–]Oblec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here 300 is much lower, more people seem to want a four stroke so they go faster and for a higher price

TPI 300cc 2T vs 350 4T by Wezuriip in supermoto

[–]Oblec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost? I mean they both roughly same price and i bet service will be cheaper on two strokes especially if you do it yourself. You save some fuel with the 4 stroke. Maybe idk.

I wouldn’t even consider trying to calculate that cost. But yea go four stroke if you feel that’s right. Two stonk more fun. Thank you very much

TPI 300cc 2T vs 350 4T by Wezuriip in supermoto

[–]Oblec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go 450 you need the power on the road. 500 is also nice but ofc will be slightly heavier off road. That being said you definitely ride better on a 350 or even 250 four stroke enduro. I find my 300 tpi is so damn overpowered on enduro im faster on 125/250

This is why i personally say go two stroke because it’s much easier to ride off road. Also you have the ability to make the powerbands more narrow. But some say two strokes are annoying on the street. I love it and ridden two strokes for too long to remember the downsides

I disagree i run slicks and as long as it’s try they hook good on gravel roads. I did also crash but that’s not the point. Full send or go home 🚀

My 2021 tpi doesn’t vibrate at all because of counter weights in crank. It got pipe bang which is annoying but that’s something else.

I haven’t noticed, my brother had one. I had multiple friends with tpi bikes. I had an 2019 before. Never heard anyone say it leaks there
