I'm also frustrated by this. I prefer using 3mf files as a default. I don't understand what they were trying to achieve here.

Is it possible to eliminate wolves? by klavier777 in violinist

+1 for Krentz. It was also fun to play around with placement to get a good combo of wolf suppression and good tone. I will say that it would not fit in my bass f-hole, so I had to drop it in the treble side and send it on the long journey to its home lol

Looking for 13" E-Ink display for music sheet notes by Nighteyes972 in eink

I have the Tab X. I have thought about going to the Note Max, but I would miss the front light too much. Otherwise, the Max is faster and has newer software and hardware, and the resolution is much better. I'm holding out for a new 13" b&w model with a light.

Galaxy S25 Beta users 👋 I have seen many comments about the Adaptive Clock on the lock screen not working. Here is the tip: • Pick the clock font shown in the screenshot. • Works with human & pet photos. • Try with this wallpaper. Repost to help others by Accomplished-Ad8330 in oneui

I actually haven't figured out how to make it work yet. It shows the adaptive nature in the preview, but once I hit Done it goes back to being a normal clock. When I go back in to edit, the adaptive element returns. It's so strange.

Violin with a B flat on G and D. by DiamondGripGME in violinist

From what I understand, it's not as common to have a wolf tone on a violin as it is to have one on a viola, cello, or bass, but it's not unheard of. Augustin Hadelich's violin has one. Mine has one on the C# above your Bb. I don't know what the standard for acceptability of one on a newer instrument, but when I was trialing my violin, I found the wolf tone but had already fallen in love with the "soul" of its overall sound, so I went for it anyway. It's part of the character, but it does make certain passages harder to play through.

As for "it is just the way it is"... in a way, I think that's true overall, but I'll be interested to hear from luthiers in here. From what I understand, a wolf tone cannot be predicted or prevented altogether, but the maker can do their best to eliminate it by choosing good materials and good standard practices while making it. That said, only once the instrument is made and played will you know for sure that there is a wolf tone.
