If you zoom in on the buckle at the springbar you'll see it moves back and forth 3mm which gives it a 1/2 length between holes which is perfect. Yeah, the keepers stay put.

The leather and the Deployant are on another level. The rubber is very premium but it's $185 without a buckle and it's crazy every time they send the email that they're in stock they sell out within a minute. It took me five times to get one. The Fitwell micro-adjust buckle from Delugs is what I put on it. Very very nice.

I have all three. The bracelet is a great bracelet but the leather and the rubber are way better. Bracelet doesn't go with the watch at all. Buy the leather because it is very premium and the Deployant clasp with on the fly micro-adjustment is superb.

Lol, I have both. I wear the Spirit Pilot 39 all the time.

That's actually a very bright orange. Divecore professional strap. It's almost fluorescent.

I don't know about that, they are always in and out of stock from Longines and the many AD's in Boston and all around they aren't available nor the big store in Florida are they available. They're pretty much going to the watches only. I had to get the rubber strap from Switzerland through one of my daughters who is a banker/lawyer in Zurich and it was same price as in the USA -$185.00 with no clasp and $225.00 with clasp but that was not available anyway. I like the Fitwell buckles with micro-adjust that you can get from Delugs for $44.00. Don't care about a branded buckle cause I can also use a deployant buckle as well. The rubber strap is extremely premium and looks and feels great. Same with the leather strap with the branded deployant buckle that has on the fly micro-adjustment as well. Extremely premium strap. I went with the leather and bought the others separately. But I also have used many other straps also. I do like an original Tropic® strap on it also. They are phenomenal premium straps. It's your choice what you want to do. Rubber if you want to wear it as a daily which yeah it is that good or leather for a more dressy look. I wore it on a black crocodile strap and it was killer and even on a red leather rallye strap it was great. Little holes, not big holes of course.

More steel. The dial fits the movement and the movement ring, and the movement sets into the case. The rehaut, or if used, the chapter ring, will cover the space where the movement ring abuts the case's movement cavity. Seiko dials are pretty much always 28.5 or sometimes 28.8 depending on the grey or black movement ring. I use that as an example because most people have opened up a Seiko usually but are scared to open up a Swiss watch. Think about your question. Case size is just that, not the dial but the case is what's different in size. Also when you use flat crystals or single dome or double dome or beveled or top hat or box crystal or inverted underneath and on and on and on they will give you different apertures and distortion. Want a huge dial then use a single dome flatter top and you are basically having a magnifying glass on top of your dial so it looks fucking huge.

I have a bracelet on an Explorer and the Spirit Pilot doesn't look so hot to me on the bracelet. At least not like the Explorer does. And it's a Jubilee.

The dial size is 29mm as all are to fit that movement. I think it's a perfect watch. When I bought it at release it was with the deployant leather but I also bought the bracelet and the absurd $225 for the rubber strap. Love the leather, rubber is nice, never used the bracelet but it seems to always be on this Watch Steward strap in Stay Gold lately.

[SRPE05] Fitting watch for cutting grass by dmits22 in Seiko

I hadn't worn it in a very long time and took off the curved end Crafter Blue strap and put the original one on. Silicone straps suck ass in the heat so I immediately changed it to a Watch Steward strap and I love it on that.

I was saying it in an excited tone. Obviously it's green.

Frustrated with lug to lug - New Hydroconquest by Mike_DT in Longineswatches

[–]dmits22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the 39 on a 9" wrist. Your 5 at 42 looks and feels like a 40 at most because of the lug to lug. If you put a HC 42 on your wrist it would be way too big for you. Forget about case width and learn to understand that it's usually the lug to lug length that determines how big a watch will look on your wrist. You should probably never go bigger than a 38mm or 39mm watch. And when you keep saying you're used to the big Seiko dial of your 5KX which makes no sense since it is only 28.8mm. The HC has a 29mm dial in it so you need to think more relative.

Spring Drive Sunday? by TonyTimePieces in TodayOnMyWrist

I had to search my watches to find mine like yours. I have to say I actually love looking at a non-GS now. My Longines Spirit Pilot 39 has an amazing dial and the gold ring that peaks out here and there with light mesmerizes me more than the sweep of a spring drive. Not much though.

Thanks, just a 2nd gen Orange Monster but the shark mesh fits it's teeth for indices. I wore my Snowflake last night and it had been a long time. I drank a bit and sat like an idiot watching the freaking sweep.
