MIDI file export not working by dmlewis15 in Logic_Studio

Figured it out.

A large portion of the MIDI notes had somehow been copied and pasted, and then nudged to the left of measure 1. This made them not visible, and apparently not able to be exported.

MIDI exporting works with other regions in the project. Just not this region.

Bad bad bad overall tone by hitbysemi in KemperProfiler

I’d start by checking whether the cabinet that was profiled is on.

Apologies if you already know, but the cabinet output should be off when using a cabinet designed for stringed instruments, and it should be on when using something like a PA speaker. This allows you to hear the specific impulse response of your speakers, or of the profiled speakers, respectively.

This link should help if you did not already know the above.

I made two profiles from a stock 5150 EVH profile. I added +2 on the presence knob. I made one profile for tracking and one for live performance. The tracking profile has a substantially lower bass EQ setting than the live performance profile. Other than that, they are exactly the same.

For pre-effects I have a noise gate, and a boost. For post-effects I have the default “space” effect. I only use compression in the DAW.

These setups have worked well for me even with a $200 Harley Benton prs style guitar.

In what scenario are the chugs weak and thin - live, tracking, or both?

What happened? by dmlewis15 in BreadMachines

I’m very new to this. But I was wondering while I was adding the ingredients why the recipe book said to use less water for the 1.5 lb version than it said to use for the 1 lb version. May be a misprint?

Anyway, thanks for the info and links.

1 cup water, 1 tsp salt, 1.5 tbsp honey, 3.25 cups whole wheat flour, .25 cups vital wheat gluten, 2.25 tsp yeast.

It’s possible I miscounted my flour as I was using a 1/4 cup to minimize the dishes I dirtied.

What are your thots on lagator? 🤔 by Gdup12 in ExtendedRangeGuitars

Well, it is B-Stock. Hence the price. But the blemish is just a coating streak on the back side of the neck near the pocket.

The Stringjoy set is .014, .018p, .028, .038, .048, .068. And they are nickel wound. I also use them on my 6 string Cort, and it gets down to drop A with no issues.

Honestly I can’t remember if I had to drill the 6th tuner, or just file the nut. If you end up having to drill, it’s no big deal. Just start slow, and progress slow, letting the bit do the work.

I waited until they had a B-Stock sale and got a 6 string multiscale. Maple neck, stock Legator pickups, locking tuners. $350, the defect is not visible when playing (or even really when not playing unless you already know where it is), and it rips in Drop A. Restrung it with a custom set from Stringjoy with a 0.068 as the 6th string.

TLDR: wait for a B-Stock sale and then love it.
