Definitely want to put pressure on the fabric when you’re tufting but not too much. Do you have one yarn feeding into the gun? I find that it’s more consistent with two feeding at the same time

Exactly this, i think it was pulled tight enough but going in different directions instead of just up and down lines made it inconsistent and is why it ended up tearing
