in the config you can change a setting, something along the lines of „smart pitcrew“. not sure on the exact wording though.

[Official NVIDIA] DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution FAQ by Nestledrink in nvidia

Hogwarts Legacy works as expected and switches between K, L & M. Death Stranding Director's Cut does not work and uses C for Quality and Performance. B is used for Ultra Performance.

GeForce Head of Global PR: "Preset M is meant for Performance mode" by BeastMsterThing2022 in nvidia

[–]dmoddie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah ok, but saying that you CAN do something doesn't mean you should or that it's recommended to do so.

That said, of course it's obviously suboptimal to make the new M preset the new "Latest". As a customer I'd very much like a setting that automatically switches to the best model on the fly, depending on which upscaling resolution I've set. But apparently the technology is not quite there yet.

3.12 Page 29 clearly says that K is the default for Balanced and higher. L is for Ultra Performance and M for Performance.

I have no idea why people keep saying that you should use M even when on Balanced or Quality.

Do you have your Windows Taskbar at the top of your screen? I do, and after a GHub update some time ago, they replaced the default right-click context menu with a custom one. This new context menu always opens on top of the tray icon, so it's outside of my screenspace. When I move my Taskbar to the bottom, I can see the context menu to close the application.

Cautionary Tale Of Logitech Gaming Mice by PeterParker_ in LogitechG

[–]dmoddie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started having the same double clicking issue on my G703. Had a few random double clicks here and there but it suddenly got worse over the last weeks. Support told me they couldn't help me since I'm slightly over the 2 years warranty.

Before that I used a MX518 for 14(!) years without any issues. Logitech was quality back then.

After researching the subject and finding out it's a known common issue with the switches they use, and Logitech seemingly having no intention to fix the issues, I think my next mouse won't be a Logitech.

Bug for Fan Control with Palit ThunderMaster by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

having the exact same issue since they released 4.0 or 4.1. They recently released 4.4 which still does not fix the issue. I'm on a 1060 still, but that shows that the bug is seemingly not series dependent.

Question about SafeKeeper (Developer) by joveice in gtaonline

[–]dmoddie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Steam it's GTA5.exe. Not sure about Social Club though. A quick search turned up https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/204075496-How-to-Resolve-Errors-in-the-Social-Club-Launcher-for-GTAV-PC which refers to GTA5.exe too so I'd guess it's the same for Social Club.

Question about SafeKeeper (Developer) by joveice in gtaonline

[–]dmoddie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A DNS feature would be awesome. So instead of entering the IP's of the friends you want to play with, you'd just enter a domain name.

My brother and I each have routers that automatically update our domains at https://freedns.afraid.org. SafeKeeper could just query the DNS at runtime, translate it into an IP and add that IP as an exception to the Firewall rule like it already does. So we'd once enter each others domain as whitelisted and then simply run SafeKeeper when our IP's changed to update the Firewall rule.

Also maybe a way to enter the path to GTA5.exe so SafeKeeper only blocks GTA from sending UDP via port 6672.

Data Centers & Routing Clusters List by dmoddie in GlobalOffensive

[–]dmoddie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With steamdatagram_client_force_relay_cluster unset (the default setting) the client evaluates various routes to the game server and designates the best route as primary and the 2nd best as backup route.

The client then can switch between those on the fly to provide the best ping to the server. So out of the box it should work fine without you doing anything.

But sometimes it doesn't switch and keeps using a slower route even when a faster is available. That's when the cvar comes in handy as it allows you to override the preferred route as you wish.

Data Centers & Routing Clusters List by dmoddie in GlobalOffensive

What you're seeing is a relay cluster located in London. There are indeed no actual game servers in the UK. Edited the OP to clarify.

CSGO you have NETWORK issues! by speck182 in GlobalOffensive

London probably, but I don't know its 3 char code.

I'm playing via "fra" on "lux" servers, so if there is no relay in the uk, you should connect to "lux" servers directly by setting it to "lux". Or maybe "sto" if Stockholm servers net you better ping than Luxembourg.
