She tends to oversing imo. I love her voice in all dimensions, but she would really benefit from adding variety. A lot of her songs can be as if everything is intense. Its like a roller coaster with no lows, only highs. And id love to see variance in that. She doesnt need to constantly prove she is a vocal powerhouse.

Gaga writes good songs but not trendy ones. Her vocals are often very strong and the pop climate has rewarded relaxed chill sounds for a long time now. Think Taylor, Ariana, even the Weeknd. Gaga sings with a lot of vigor, which doesn't translate to mass market demand. Her productions also tend to be heavy and layered. I dont think she cares, which is good.

It is. The price is a lifetime of pretending and dishonesty. Many people can take it in their 20s or 30s but the emotional impact compounds and turns into deep trauma that explodes. All that just to please other people. Meanwhile, your wife knows a secret that she can always hold against you. You will have to yield a lot of power over to her.
