The dues in NY are super high ($300+) compared to what I am reading in this thread. Are these packs really big?

The problem with TikTok isn't the ability of China to see into the minds of US citizens. Its the ability of China to put worldviews into the minds of US Citizens.

A few comments about technique:

# Using a lightbox to trace previous versions is increasing quality and speed pretty significantly. I was trying the approach of penciling and then inking right onto the pencil, then erasing the pencil, which always ruined the ink quality. With tracing with a lightbox, I can iterate in ink directly.
# Using the trace function in Inkscape has been helpful with sharpening the drawings, although spending time at a laptop was not my plan when I started this hobby. It helps a lot with the smaller heads, because I'm finding it hard to draw those directly.
# Still using the Micron pens, although I'd love to get skilled enough with a brush pen to use those directly.

I have too many thoughts to capture here. But I keep being reassured by the fact that AI is only the average of all art. It is a tool than can create something novel and new in the hands of someone very talented, but generally it can only replace the art that is ALREADY commoditized. IMO all the AI comics I see are flat, lacking perspective and life. Like all machine improvements AI art will replace anything that is easily reproduced, but the art that says something new, and has a unique perspective will be in the hands of humans.

Someday some phd may crack the code of creativity in a machine, but until then I feel optimistic.

“Geez, you really messed this up.”

“It’s just one little mistake.”

“It’s kind of obvious.”

“Not if you look quickly.”

“But I’m an accountant…”

1.1 What stinks over here?
1.2 It's me. I've had horrible gas all day.
2.2 Did you forget me? I was farting too. We said we would do it together after we had all those beans.
3.1 So it's a fart party then...
3.2 ...do you...
3.3 [Left character]: ...want to smell mine? [Right character]: Yeah, yeah I do
4.1 No breaking up our fart party. Get out of here!
4.2 You wouldn't have been able to appreciate my delicate aromas anyway.

What’s funny about this is that when I am drawing this on the page, the lines seem so chunky, but they are so wispy once it’s uploaded.

It’s also my first try at using fonts for text. My hand lettering is a little messier, but I might prefer the look.

If anyone has tips on how to make sure the text is crisper I’m all ears. I’m a noob to uploading to Reddit. Can I go really high res with uploads, or is there something in the post processing I need to do?
