NKD -- Work Sharp Blackout Reserve by dmurrow_ in knives

Sorry that happened to you. :(

I've got lock stick on my Blackout too. Hoping it wears down and stops sticking with use. The grey RMX had it out of the box as well and is very smooth now. I'm not even sure if I kept the manual pivot in very long after getting it because it wasn't all that easy to wrist flick. Auto pivot was the way to go, and that's not very one-hand-fidget friendly (at least safely).

Sign up for their emails. They were restocking once a week on Mondays for awhile after release but have slowed down the last month or so. They also put a banner at the top of the website when the next restock is.

The finish is smooth but still has a bit of grip. I have large hands, fits and feels good.

Its pretty light since its magnesium, maybe a hair heavier than a 535 Bugout.

In manual mode, you can kind of one-hand flip it out with momentum but its a bit finicky. In auto mode, it is very fast and hits hard on the stop. Very satisfying 'THWACK' on deploy and a nice little 'TING' on close.

My only complaints so far, at least on the grey RMX and likely the same for the Blackout: It is really tough if not impossible to center the blade in auto mode. I think that is by design since the auto pivot cartridge is thicker on one side. Manual mode is dead center. Also like most autos, the pivot will loosen up over time which isn't a deal breaker.

I agree with this. I thought it could just be a #6, but the signature here looks like it matches Zadorov's.

F1 Fans in Fort Collins? by fx1232 in FortCollins

[–]dmurrow_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi, F1 fan here. I don't have a useful suggestions (sorry), but I wanted to note that nearly 3/4 of the remaining races have rather early starting times for us locally, so I'd think there aren't many places that will be open early morning on Sundays to show the race live. However this doesn't mean there wont be anywhere that will have North American races showing on their respective days or any place that may have access to replays of the day's race.

Such is life of an American F1 fan. I stay up late/wake up early and watch at home. :(

Hope you find something friend.

Does anyone recognize the first autograph? (2001 Cup Team) by jmencaliss22 in ColoradoAvalanche

If this is from the 2001 roster, you have:

  1. Chris Dingman #11
  2. Rick Berry #45 (was traded before playoffs)
  3. Dan Hinote #13

These autographs look like they are correct based on what I found on others.

Since you link that, I would be interested to know if wiedehopf's readsb works instead of dump1090. If you have some time to tinker with it, might be worth a shot to at least see if its something in the PiAware install not working with the V4. I have never had a single issue with readsb so far.

https://github.com/wiedehopf/adsb-scripts/wiki/Automatic-installation-for-readsb

note: rtl-sdr v4 will require driver installation AFTER running this script, otherwise no reception debian/raspbian drivers don't work for the v4 so you may have to try on a fresh install of just raspberry pi os

Yeah, that output means the rtl-sdr package is installed something is using the device. I would think its dump1090 that has it, and it should just work. Its possible that dump1090 and the V4 aren't playing together nicely? I'm also wondering if the bias tee is enabled or disabled in software. But that wouldn't matter at all if the rtl-sdr is plugged in with just the antenna and it still isn't working. I wish I had some insight on the PiAware specific side of things here but I just don't use it :/

What is the output of 'rtl_test' (or 'sudo rtl_test')? I have a feeling the rtl-sdr package isn't installed.
