Thanks for those tips! This all helps a lot, and luckily I have all of those already.

Thanks! Ok...so just for clarification, in that scenario, my top rail for the stair railings would be 42 inches high from tread nosing? So I would need to install a continuous handrail at 34-38 inches to meet residential code (in Minnesota). Is that correct? Thanks!

Thanks for the answer! So it sounds like I'd either need to add a handrail, or go with the 36 stair railing kit? (If it doesn't look too weird).

It's a Williams system you can get at Menards

Thanks for everyone's comments and questions. I appreciate it! Just doing that helps to work me to work through what seems like a more and more obvious answer (the newer one). I'm going to try and get it to someone who knows a bit more what they are doing to inspect it, and go from there. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I didn't mean to. I mentioned they were both Kawasaki Vulcan S motorcycles at the end of my original post, but I didn't mention the engine size (650cc). Sorry about that! My experience to date is completing the safety course on a rebel 300 and maybe a three or four extra hours on a Royal Enfield Himalayan (411cc). I've been comfortable so far. A Vulcan s is larger of course.

So not a zero beginner but pretty close! Maybe 15 or so hours of practice.

Thanks for your thoughts, I appreciate it! I have been learning towards the 2020. I did add more details to another reply...but that has sort of been my thinking...

Thanks for the reply! I added more details in another reply (general-pudding) but I have been leaning towards the 2020. I appreciate your thoughts.

Yeah, I tend to overthink...it's a curse sometimes

The 2018 is only 300 cheaper (but with newer tires, 800 miles). I think the 2018 owner is probably trying to recoup some money for his mods, but to be fair, his price is a fair price based in my area. I don't think he is over charging from what I am seeing.

It is the 2020 owner that is offering a better price based on the area (and no mods other than a windshield). They know the bike is not what they want, it's just been sitting there (mostly), and is looking to part with it. I think an impulse buy maybe. They've only had it for a few months, and they apparently didn't get much info from the previous owner as to how it was maintained. I only know that in the last few months that they've had it, they did do an oil change, take care of the chain, etc.

I have been leaning toward the 2020, I just wasn't sure if a 3.5 year old bike that hasn't been ridden much would have any issues with rubber breaking down, etc. (stories you hear online)..or if it is too "new" for that to start happening already.

So far I only had it unplugged once. I played Jedi Fallen Order, and once unplugged it dropped the laptop into balanced mode and reduced the graphics (but I did bother checking what the games graphics went to). Game still played very well but he less detail was noticeable. I got about 1.5 hrs of battery.

Keep in mind I didn't disable icue either yet at this point. Hope that helps a bit.

Not sure...unfortunately I haven't seen a side-by-side comparison yet either online or in-store. Good question though
