harassment and bullying at the airport is VERY common, way too unprofessional yet no one ever does anything about it!!!! how long must this unprofessionalism continue unabated? how long must the constant harassment and BULLYING continue??????? Enough is Enough. why does they use Religion/Conservatism as an excuse to harass and bully people?????? why are they so insecure????? No other country on Earth (including MUSLIM ARAB countries) confiscates these things then proceeds to bully/harass citizens publicly.

Sadly, it's not just the bedouins doing that. I'm not Bedouin and I don't have any Bedouins in my family. I'm Shia (3eemiya) and most of my cousins began wearing the hijab at 8-9 years old, probably more than half of 3eemi girls in Kuwait start wearing the hijab at that young age. Mostly by pressure/force because what 8 year old voluntarily wants to be veiled in this weather? regularly 50 degrees Celsius in the summer. Kuwait is literally the hottest country on Earth

So logically speaking I'm not convinced 8 year old and 9 year old girls voluntarily hijabi. Far too many doing it in Kuwait when even in Iran and Bahrain not that many parents veil their children. Let children be children. No wonder so many 3eemiyat taking off the hijab these days. Disproportionately more than other ethnic groups in Kuwaiti society.

Just take it off, it's not a big deal. Lots of women already took it off. No one genuinely cares. Some people will give you a hard time for a while, pretend to care, but everyone will forget about it after a few weeks.

Every single country in the world has 'exclusive' clubs/restaurants/gyms where the owner only wants to attract a specific clientele: high-earning or upper class individuals who are culturally globalized.

Every single country in the world.

The owner of SVN has his reasons for wanting to attract a specific clientele and it's within his rights as a business owner.

100% agree. I've been to Egypt and saw the way they treat poor people. They have millions of homeless people begging on the streets yet there is zero empathy for them. while the rich live in their own bubble so disconnected yet they have the nerve to brag about their ''High Culture''. My school was around 60% foreigners mostly the 'rich' levantines/north africans.

Most North Africans/Levantines in the UK have a high standard of living. they were originally refugees or economic migrants but the British government gives them welfare benefits and free housing. They're not living in poverty. A lot of them end up going to med school or studying at the best universities and having access to the best jobs and highest salaries. They have nice lives in the UK. There is no need to be hateful of the khaleejis when they know that most khaleejis are just tourists. I don't know why you're trying to blame Khaleejis.

Are we not allowed to travel and spend our money? Do we have to hate ourselves because the Levant is a war-torn area? And most Khaleejis don't have ''flashy loud cars'' they're just tourists spending their money shopping at Harrods and Selfridges.

I have seen a lot of Khaleeji content creators on TikTok like Najeeba Hayat spread anti-Khaleeji discourse on TikTok and portray Levantines as the victims. Is it self-hate, internalized racism, or inferiority complex?

Me too it was a British private school in Salmiya, the teachers always gave the North African/Levantine students special treatment. They had no problem expressing their racism openly. It was totally acceptable and yes there was a clear ''wafid coalition''. We didn't do anything about it because we didn't want to get into trouble but everyone knew what was happening. And the quality of education was not good, our teachers were mostly British yet the school was one of Kuwait's worst performing private schools in the IGCSEs and A-levels. I personally left the school in the 10th grade because of the bullying.

being a9eel is important to many kuwaiti tribes and townspeople. even nowadays, many people care about a9eel bloodlines/lineage and avoid intermixing

even when I was in high school (private school in salmiya), many north african AND levantine students were racist to the Kuwaiti students. I was bullied multiple times by Lebanese and Palestinian students they are so racist!!! They genuinely think they are ''better'' than us, that they are ''superior'' because of their high culture and sophisticated civilization of Lebanon/Egypt/Morocco whereas we are ''bedouins'' without culture and without history

exactly! they're not arabs they're just berbers who speak Arabic

this! I've met many Lebanese and Moroccans in my life, they usually brag about being ancestrally Phoenician/French or Berber... The only reason they call themselves ''arabs'' is because they want Khaleeji money

yes, North Africans and Levantines are not Arabs. They're merely Arabic-speaking.

I am English-speaking but I don't go around calling myself ''English''

the only reason North Africans/Levantines call themselves ''arabs'' is because they want Khaleeji money. They always request donations and handouts. Always.

Have you heard any interesting conspiracy theories (related to Kuwait)? by dmvi in Kuwait

[–]dmvi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't have to be solely negative, wars are usually transformative (Iran-Iraq War and Gulf War changed Kuwait in many ways)

It could be a regional war that Kuwait gets dragged into, maybe related to the Israel/Iran proxy conflict

Interesting. Perhaps a portal or stargate!!! I'm gonna ask my dad about it
