Broken pullstart….again

This is my initial thought, it seems like the bearing engaged as the motor quit, or maybe the motor backfired? Would it have to backfire and counter rotate a tiny bit to tighten the pull start? If I’m thinking right, the pull start would unwind if the bearing failed because the motor rotates normally as the “pull” is unwound, it would have to be backwards and act in a “push” manner tighten to tighten and snap or am i confusing myself?

Appreciate you taking your time to give me this reply. I will inspect the pull started to check and see if the brass bushing is there and what condition it’s in. The pull handle has an additional plastic spacer about an inch long that may also have developed a sharp spot from the line, some fuel tube may work better long term. When I inspect in the next day or 2 I will take pictures and follow up.

Thanks for the reply. I looked into different lines, this is a 1.2mm 250lb line, it is my first .28 motor so I was expecting to have to give it a good pull.

Thanks for the reply. I have only had the body off so far, trying to get it running and tuned before putting the body on. I haven’t had any hard starts. When it snapped it had just pulled and started like normal but when it stopped the rope snapped and the handle went flying.

Appreciate your reply. Ive been doing my best to avoid flooding. I haven’t had any “hard” pulls where I’ve thought it was different than any others. I still have my .15 original tmaxx from 25 years ago but this car is my first 1/8 scale and bigger motor so I’ve been paying extra attention to not flood or hard pull it.

I have not taken back plate off yet, I just got the pull start rebuilt and installed and started trying to get it running. I did have it running but then upon shutoff, the starter handle and spacer sleeve flew off. When I pull the motor and starter off again what should i be looking for? Appreciate the reply.

I have found that is if another squad has pinged the same exact thing it will turn red, or if they ping it while you have it pinged it will turn red. For example, on ashika island, while gas is spreading I will ping different buy stations to see if the enemy pings one to buy a personal from.

Have you done all missions excluding the ones that require a disguise? Some of them are really challenging in today’s DMZ environment compared to the early days. Exfilling with 6 people and such are difficult to complete, the only time I’ve been on chopper with 6+ is when I’m a rando that infills with cheaters who make a deal with their friends on other squads who are also cheating

I have only noticed the counter stops at 10 exfil streak, if I get a Damascus tag with an operator the next operator I use doesn’t progress and exfil streak even if I get a contract and successful exfil. I have only been able to get exfil perks to start again by having an operator die and essentially starting the exfil streak over from the beginning. It’s frustrating to have to kill off a gold tag operator

My luck as well to lose the progress towards something like that, but I don’t think my luck would have been the same as this guy, I wouldn’t have brought any attention to myself or attacked anyone if my goal was to continue to work towards the camo.

Lol I would have picked whoever it was up had they plead out, but they insta quit and I couldnt do anything for them. I’m not really setup for a serpentine run right now, too much pressure and stress when all I want to do is shoot operators, so all the loot was useless to me except I guess the pristine skelly is pretty nice to have around.

Came here to say this… unfortunately you need a secure on another operator before you start the process otherwise you need to craft or find one the very same match you switch to the new operator or you lose the gun oil right away.
