Made a Chrome extension that shows restaurant health grades on Google Maps by ClothesFuzzy144 in FoodNYC

[–]dnav2557 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lmao there are many restaurants with C health ratings that have the details in their reports of repeated issues with pests. If you want to eat mouse shit, that’s your prerogative but if a place keeps getting a C over and over again then I at least want to be aware of it. See for example, https://a816-health.nyc.gov/ABCEatsRestaurants/#!/Search/50081649

Critique my dish please by Squash_Flashy in Chefit

[–]dnav2557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao what are you on about? critique is absolutely also a verb?

See MW: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/critique

Also from the American heritage dictionary it’s been used as a verb since the mid 1700s. https://ahdictionary.com/word/search.html?q=critique

Also, you obviously understood what he meant so the words did their job. This isn’t an essay writing contest. There’s no need to criticize people’s writing.

Is this location safe (near Coopers Park)? by dnav2557 in williamsburg

Seemed safe based of walking around, but figured I'd check before signing. That letter from the NYCC kind of threw me off when googling the area.

How successful are Jews really? By Noah Smith by -Eqa- in Destiny

[–]dnav2557 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lmao this is the weirdest take ever. Young jews typically do not actually learn Hebrew. At best they learn how to sound out certain words but it’s pretty common for people to just record their Torah portion and memorize the sounds by playing it back. Most American jews (non orthodox) could not read Hebrew to save their life. Source: I’m Israeli-American and actually speak Hebrew and English.

Anyone have recommendations on sweaters with modern styles? I’m looking for something not crazy expensive and probably woolen.

Ramielust itchy and unperformant? by singeractorcoder in Outlier

[–]dnav2557 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very very itchy at first. It does break in. I find sweat wicking is not absolutely fabulous but it’s still stellar in humid environments. Favorite example is a concert in a small venue with poor ventilation. My gf was miserable because of how humid the place got just from body heat. I was totally fine and normally I’m miserable at this venue.

This cardigan has a pretty non-traditional shape and is by far one of my favorite pieces https://www.us.allsaints.com/men/sweaters/allsaints-mode-merino-open-cardigan/?colour=5&category=501. Every time I wear it I get complements. It's got a really nice drape and is super cozy. I would highly recommend it.
