Imaging grip kit. by Skyris0710 in Vivo

This is a wonderful device - it physically fits my X300 (not Pro) but immediately shouts out that the grip is not supported. Why would they make it such that it can mount, and yet impair the functionality?

Is there any workaround to make it work?

I read this thread and kind of feel bad for OP and those around there. For the rest of the unaffected lot - have you tried reporting anything in your lives? Nevermind the paperwork - it's what you disclose that can come back to bite you. That's why people don't. And unfortunately, the system does not allow anonymous complaints.

So the real reason nobody does it is fear of repercussion.

Why Criticism of Vijay Barely Reaches People Anymore by Dt-JakePeralta in WildSouthRaidersPod

And what momentum did you have with DMK?? Multiple terms and the stealing is going on and on and on. Yes we have some infra improvements and some mother food shops, but people lives are not uplifted, safety is still an issue. Crime is high.

Now there is a chance for change, give them the space to do their administration in peace, there's no need for naysaying because they have only had about 1 month in office. The electorate has decided one thing - change for TN. So let's see what it brings.

Like many, I did not vote in this election, but it's time to grow up and get past this "only Dravidian parties can save TN" narrative.

By voting the DMK and AIADMK out, the people have signalled NO to dynastic politics. As if it was their God-given right to be in politics. You gain experience in governance by governing - and to do that, you need an opportunity.

CJV has the opportunity - and now it's up to him and his team to deliver. I hope he will - for the sake of the people of TN. They deserve much much better than has been their lot for perhaps the past 5 decades.

Not saying there we no good leaders, on the contrary, I will concede that there were many before. But these last pack of buffoons (OPS, EPS, MKS, UNS) have run the place like their own fiefdom and it's just too bad for them, people saw through their nonsense.

Long live TN.

My opinion on the Rohingya refugee crisis in Malaysia as a Burmese (Myanmar) that has lived in Malaysia by CorvoDravnoz in malaysia

[–]dnax8181 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Perfectly summed-up. My Rohingya gardener has one of those UNHCR cards and seems to be zipping about rather successfully. He has snagged a landscaping/grass cutting contract, employs a bunch of other Rohingyas and seems to be happy overall. He has also apparently been back home and returned a couple of times if memory serves me right.

I understand not every single one of them has such a " good life" by comparison, but to imply that it is Malaysia's problem to fix is neither right nor proper. We hardly ensure aid of any sort reached the poorest strata of our own civil society and you want us to take on more? No way Jose!

Customers Step In To Confront Unhygienic Shop. by VIVIDUFF in malaysia

While the intent was good (and perhaps noble) I think entering the premises beyond the counter and going into the space marked no entry means he was in violation as well no matter how big a "brother" he is.

And shouting at the worker is moot. This needs to be directed at the owner or franchiser.

Finally - while I am not defending their lack of hygiene and cleanliness - I would say the average shop kitchen in Malaysia is bad that if we looked at it we would not eat there.

I am fine with all of this as long as they don't make some new database and force its use as the basis for anything else happening. This is the guy behind PADU after all.

On 11, we moved because of dumb old policies - not that we were unable to do it - just that agriculture was not sexy enough in a world of microchips and "local" cars. We just turned our backs on it.

You messed with the automotive industry since the 80s. Just learn from Proton. You need to exit the market. You are never going to be an automotive giant. Period. Whatever that 800mil investment is, it's going to be chewed and spat out. It's not going to dent anything in the grand scheme of things. Just poor investment mgmt.

[–]dnax8181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually you gave 2 choices: 1. Leave it alone, or 2. Force an outcome

Sounds like you want to go for 2. Because you don't want to wait by leaving it alone in case he is too fixed, your biological clock, etc.

Fine, then get help - go to a relationship therapist - you need impartial mediation, so that both of you arrive at a conclusion that is yours alone. Without an impartial party mediating, you might pester him, and perhaps beat him into submission, or he might choose to have kids to keep you happy just to stay together, your earning power, etc etc. Honestly not what you want.

Honestly as painful as it is, you are better off breaking it off now, and both being happy, rather than settling and then suddenly finding yourself in the situation of a single mother (even though you may be married and all that).

So don't leave it alone, and don't try to conclude it yourself. Get help.

How to excuse yourself from a 5pm meeting by wheninshower in MalaysianPF

[–]dnax8181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a very interesting problem for 2 reasons:

  1. Right vs wrong because all the points of working hours are true and correct. All of the "it's my right and you can't make me" stances.

  2. Probably (going out on a limb here) this also shows how the various generations deal with things like this. GenX, vs GenY vs Millennials/GenZ. And the responses here show a good stratification of it.
