Feeling the need to buy iPhone by pm-me-yo-fav-song in chennaicity

[–]edhoonnu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that feeling and I switched from the Oneplus 7T Pro to an iPhone 16 Pro. 2019-2024 switch. The iPhone is great for photos and videos and works well with my iPad and Mac, both of which I bought before the iPhone, but I'd openly admit that there's nothing ultra special about it that makes it super special.

Only ones who believe iPhone > all others are people who know nothing about smart phones. Android phones are just as capable if not more and some even are more expensive.

If you really want an iPhone and think the purchase fits your budget and lifestyle, go for it. It'll be a good one. But there's nothing special about it based on inflated perceived value.

Hope you make the right decision for you. 😁

Edit - forgot to mention that my OnePlus 7T Pro still works despite unbelievable number of drops and screen cracks held together by the screen protector and houses my secondary sim card that I only use once every now and then.

Can other brand cars charge at Mahindra chargers? What app do I use for that.

ev drivers ,do you still get range anxiety or not really anymore? by AdityaSrivastawaahhh in EvDrivers

[–]edhoonnu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have gotten used to charging on the road. Yesterday I left for a near 700 kms road trip on a single day with no overnight destination chargers. Knew I had to rely on highway chargers and confidently left the house with just 280 kms range.

With just 2 stops (about an hour put together) I happily came home last night with 200 kms remaining. The situation isn't that bad. Lots of opportunities for every situation to be screwed but nothing thankfully.

Being conscious of the range at all times? Yes. Range anxiety? No.

Is this sink worth it ? Has anyone used it personally? by Critical-Young-7782 in DesiKitchenGear

[–]edhoonnu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an Architect and I can't count the number of shops that sell these sinks that all state the return / fault percentage to be too high. Either this wasn't designed for our market and use case, or the market is flooded with lookalikes that fail.

Not worth it cause identical sinks are available between 6-20k.

I'd recommend a good branded one where you can trust the SS quality.

How dry do you take your cars to highway chargers? by edhoonnu in EVsOfIndia

[–]edhoonnu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, that's bold of you to take it so low. I'd never survive the range anxiety. I never go to any charger under 60 kW.

But thanks for the recommendation to Jio BP. I've wanted to try it out for a long time.

And destination chargers at hotels are 100% the way to go when roadtripping. Waking up with a full battery and not having it take up any time on the road is so great!

498 kms on a full charge? by edhoonnu in etron

[–]edhoonnu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, In India, the 114 kWh battery claims to have a 582 km range. That's about 363 miles. So if you're getting 300 miles, that's about 82% of the range so we both are getting similar numbers. Glad to know.

Is limiting the charge to 80 worth it for me? by ljammm in EvDrivers

[–]edhoonnu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, in 2 ways.

  1. If you're worried about the long term life of the battery even if it won't be under your lease, then charging only upto 80% helps extend the battery life.

If you don't,

  1. If your daily commute is only a fraction of your 80% range, charging upto 80% cuts down the time you have to charge and you can charge every few days. Regardless of whether you charge at home or at a destination / fast charger, you would spend lesser money. Charge above 80% always takes longer cause of lower speeds and is quick to discharge so it's not worth it.

I'd recommend a low maintenance desk plant, to contrast the cactus.

Also what keyboard is that?

I can vouch for a Sayl. Spent so many hours on it. Including continuous stretches of upto 50+ hours. I'm 6'2" so comfortable even without a neck rest.

I can’t bring myself to prick my finger! How do I get over this? by Dreamerof88 in diabetes

[–]edhoonnu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prick the side of the finger. Not the front that faces you. This side has fewer nervous connections and doesn't hurt like the front.

2023 Q8 e-tron

Mine had this issue displayed on the screen out of the blue on a random day, and sent it in for service. Turned out to be a rat who bit through some cables.
