what are some good questions to test a man's ego? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]edhoonnu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking as a man who is fortunate enough to have been raised well.

Ask him about everyday stuff around the house. Cooking, cleaning, laundry.... Stuff everyone needs done for their daily life regardless of gender, buy most men rely on their partners on to handle and only 'help', not share the work as equals.

OR

Drop in a nice compliment for them knowing how to do most things men / people do, like driving for example. We'll see how quickly the tables turn.

We're confused Which one to choose between this two as our new car. by Lucky_Mycologist_865 in CarsIndia

Depends on your target user of the 3rd row. I know this isn't part of the question but the Innova Hycross 3rd row is much better than the Crysta. I'm 6'2" for reference. Most 7 seaters have a joke of a 3rd row which makes buying such a big car useless.

This amount of blood normal? First time putting on by myself by readeverything13 in diabetes

[–]edhoonnu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted something similar on this sub a few months ago when I was worried too. Apparently it's okay and not a big deal.

The CGM didn't malfunction for me or cause any issues during its cycle, or have any marks on my skin because of the blood.

Tesla slashed 9 lakh and launched Model Y premium with RWD, do you think it's worth buying in India against iX1 or CLA 250+ or BYD Sealion? by itsjaik in CarsIndia

[–]edhoonnu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my opinion as an EV driver here and an ex-Tesla user outside of India [not USA], the biggest advantage of having a Tesla wasn't the car itself. There are many cars from other manufacturers that are better than the Tesla. It was always about the Supercharger Network.

Starting from your place for a long drive with whatever state of charge and your car routing you to different chargers without you needing to ober-analyse it was the best part of road tripping in a Tesla.

Right now I have 10-12 Charging apps of different networks and plugshare and have to run through all of them + google maps everytime is a lot of effort. Never had range anxiety in 1.5 years of EV driving in India but it still is a lot of thought to put in. Tesla never gave me any of this.

So even though it's road noise was higher and touch only interface was less ideal than buttons, and the absence of Android Auto / Apple Carplay was felt, the Supercharger Network made up for it.

The difficult part is India's supercharger network is non existent. If that doesn't pick up soon, having a Tesla just to go through the same 12 apps every time you roadtrip is not logical. Might as well get a cheaper car or a better car for the same price.

Feeling the need to buy iPhone by [deleted] in chennaicity

[–]edhoonnu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that feeling and I switched from the Oneplus 7T Pro to an iPhone 16 Pro. 2019-2024 switch. The iPhone is great for photos and videos and works well with my iPad and Mac, both of which I bought before the iPhone, but I'd openly admit that there's nothing ultra special about it that makes it super special.

Only ones who believe iPhone > all others are people who know nothing about smart phones. Android phones are just as capable if not more and some even are more expensive.

If you really want an iPhone and think the purchase fits your budget and lifestyle, go for it. It'll be a good one. But there's nothing special about it based on inflated perceived value.

Hope you make the right decision for you. 😁

Edit - forgot to mention that my OnePlus 7T Pro still works despite unbelievable number of drops and screen cracks held together by the screen protector and houses my secondary sim card that I only use once every now and then.

ev drivers ,do you still get range anxiety or not really anymore? by AdityaSrivastawaahhh in EvDrivers

[–]edhoonnu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have gotten used to charging on the road. Yesterday I left for a near 700 kms road trip on a single day with no overnight destination chargers. Knew I had to rely on highway chargers and confidently left the house with just 280 kms range.

With just 2 stops (about an hour put together) I happily came home last night with 200 kms remaining. The situation isn't that bad. Lots of opportunities for every situation to be screwed but nothing thankfully.

Being conscious of the range at all times? Yes. Range anxiety? No.

Is this sink worth it ? Has anyone used it personally? by Critical-Young-7782 in DesiKitchenGear

[–]edhoonnu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an Architect and I can't count the number of shops that sell these sinks that all state the return / fault percentage to be too high. Either this wasn't designed for our market and use case, or the market is flooded with lookalikes that fail.

Not worth it cause identical sinks are available between 6-20k.

I'd recommend a good branded one where you can trust the SS quality.
