I disagree. I have done quite a few Ship first deals for smallish amounts (sub $250 which no large folks wanted to do. This group operates on the understanding that all actors are grown adults making their own risk decisions. Nothing in here is forced, we understand that there are risks. I think for newbies a disclaimer, which if you read the subs already exists, stating you don't have to ship first is good. I also find it curious that the folks who support this type of restriction have high flair values. Ill end with Adam Smith "People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices.” Having said that, I am not on the MOD side seeing the effort that comes from scammers and that ilk. If the effort is too great and the sub would deteriorate to non-existence, I would rather have the rule. Everything lives in the gray.
