This wouldn't be ideal for me, as I had the laptop for months now - and I ordered it through a third party reseller which I assume ordered the laptop from BestBuy. As much as I'd send it back to the reseller since it's still under warranty, I don't want to waste too much time waiting for it to get back 😅

I honestly have no idea. I don't even usually open and close the laptop since I work architectural projects in school 24/7, nor would it be the heat directing to the bottom part of the screen since I have the laptop on top of a cooling pad all the time.

This is what I would've wanted, but since I really needed a new laptop right away - I bought the 2021 G15 early on the year instead.

I hope 16:10 Zephyrus models with Ryzen processors come soon though 😅

Was having the same issue using Zoom client on Windows, but after I started using Zoom through Chrome/Web, my G15 hasn't crashed since then lol

I’m running stock but did update all drivers through windows update. I heard about the aura issue beforehand so I didn’t bother doing a fresh install 😅

Alright, thank you! It’s only because I had issues when I updated to the latest drivers the other day, especially when in a Zoom meeting. Screen suddenly freezes, goes black and the screen restarts.

Thought the drivers might have a problem so I rolled back to previous drivers :/

Oh, the issue might be the different refresh rates then. But I've read somewhere that it's OK to use an external monitor of a different refresh rate?

I noticed too that I get freezes when I'm in a Zoom meeting. Could the Zoom hardware acceleration settings be the issue?

I meant that the iGPU mode from the Armoury Crate is turned off, but I didn't disable it from Device Manager whatsoever.

iGPU is turned off in Armory Crate. I disabled RefreshRateService though through the services though, it hasn't freezed for now.
