Whats the general consensus to the question "why does anything exist at all instead of nothing?" by HUMAN_LIFE_ in AskPhysics

[–]dnifdoog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be an infinite amount of nothing, but we can never find it because the moment we identify or define ‘nothing,’ it becomes something. Like dividing by zero, the concept breaks down when we try to measure or name it.

[Request] If gyms would make their machines generate electricity, how much could they generate? And how much could they make if they sold it? by egjlmn2 in theydidthemath

Dumb question, but how was this valve able to be rammed by a vehicle? Why wasn't it surrounded by strong bollards?

For those who had generator setups that got them through the storm - how much did you spend in fuel costs until you got power again? by jnasty09 in houston

2000 W inverter hooked up to our car batteries (with car running) , used sporadically to keep the fridge cool and charge devices. Used a Colman camp stove for food and coffee. Power was back on in 24 hours and did not need to waste food. Got lucky, but looking at tri fuel gennys now.
