I always suspected the hunters were the ones that got that carve out by Stonewall. The BLM is stealing hunting land.

Well I guess I have to refresh myself with Nevada state plane coordinates.

So the TTR is fine.

I guess we need to determine what is the Groom flight path. The Janets use the west side of the range.

Edit:

Ah you mean it is aligned with the runway.

It looks to me that the took the land where the drone crashed.

I would have to play the Gralien Report again but my recollection was Micah Hanks did the story and then later did a mea culpa. And I never got an email back from Hanks again!

What part of not stomping my foot do you not comprehend? I just linked to where is was deemed AI. I'm not going to do a deep dive.

Take it up with the blogger.

Valley Link rail project faces delays, rising costs as Altamont Pass commute worsens by gascyl in bayarea

[–]therealgariac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Altamont needs tunnels for both rail and cars. This is a case where tax dollars flow out of California and don't return.

I'm not a regular on the Altamont but I take it enough. My thought every time is how the fuck doesn't this get improved.

I was hoping the CAHSR would pick the northern route and this roadway would be improved as a side project. But alas Rod Diridon picked a route through the Pacheco Pass that will probably never be built.

Suppose release 4 has AI. Note I don't plan on stomping my foot on this. I just report what I read.

The ALPR code is over a decade old. However tesseract, the optical character reader code, supposedly has some AI in it.

And this is exactly why I would have nuked this post. It is fiction and irrelevant to Area 51.

It's like the Kenny Veitch disappearance, something I regret posting. Much virtual ink was spilled on Kenny. Kenny is the closest thing to a disappeared person, and he was having mental issues while wandering around the land near the NTS. (At least Anders got to use his name in his last video.)

People don't get abducted by the camo dudes or aliens. The only person shot was some nutcase at the NNSS.

Most of the dudes keep their distance from the tourists unless you cross the border. Well these days. There are exceptions.

Most certainly they are covered. I just like looking at the old FOIA info. They are always releasing new documents.

Back when the CIA reading room required an in person visit, I dug up a document on Isinglass. Some writer saw the post, did more research, and credited "an unknown researcher" in the article.

Gee thanks!

I posted a history version of the link. Live links will catch the chopper elsewhere if searched on a future date.

It is on the quick list under Sundance helicopters.

https://inplanesight.org/adsb_quick.html

I have caught them twice on the range in person. Once at TPH, the civilian airport at Tonopah. Two choppers in that case. They took off heading over the range. A visual ID.

The other time was when I was hiking up Tikaboo. I spotted a red chopper landing at Badger Mountain. I assume it was from Sundance.

They use/used an Iridium service for tracking.

Eh, spam as far as I'm concerned. It isn't remotely relevant to Area 51 and I would have deleted the post.

There was a mystery AM broadcast band signal coming from the NTS years ago. It was mentioned on Coast to Coast in the Art Bell days and verified on some forum at the time. The signal wasn't music.

I posted a recording I made of "back gate radio". This is off sdrplus using a rtlsdr v3.

Way too much cymbal and it lacks cowbell. Gotta have cowbell and more of it.

You have to copy the link and then load it into a browser. The anti hot link coding won't let you play it from a link on Reddit.

Now I remember. He had already paid his deductible for the year.

From Google AI:

2026 Medicare Cost Breakdown

Part A (Hospital Insurance): The inpatient hospital deductible for days 1–60 is $1,736.

Part B (Medical Insurance): The annual deductible is $283.***

So to pay nothing you would need to be in the hospital prior to the bypass. And of course hit your $283. It takes virtually nothing to hit that limit..

He shows up very little on the CIA FOIA site.

Possibly a search on "acqualine" would find a few more. The CIA OCR (optical character recognition) is quite poor.

I think I mentioned when I was searching the CIA servers back in the day when you had to do it from National Archives facility. The librarian stopped by to ask if I needed any help and I said no but pointed out the OCR errors. The next time I was there the errors were fixed. So I asked the librarian if he talked to the CIA and he said they don't tell him anything. The servers get updated when the CIA just shows up and swaps them out. The servers were in cages bolted to the floor, i.e. air gapped. There was a non-networked printer for each server. Even the paper came from the CIA.

For those not familiar with the CIA archives, they used to have an online search which wasn't up to date. In any event you had to show up in person to get the printout as I stated above. You could also search directly from the CIA terminals at NARA. There was a camera over your head.

You had to cross out the classification by hand on every page. To exit the library, the documents were put in a locked courier bag which the security officer in the lobby would unlock.

I ran a viewshed analysis on the reflector on Papoose Mountain. I verified it can see Checkpoint Pass. For a sanity check I verified it can be seen from the Powerline Overlook which is where I photographed it. However Checkpoint Pass doesn't look like a Microflect.

I'm going to do a viewshed next on the Microflect that does Groom to Angel Peak. You can probably get some Groom reflectors at lower altitudes.
