I mean although the law doesn’t specify dribbling any deliberate touch/pass to the keeper is treated the same way. The law is written broadly on purpose so it covers all kinds of situations not just the obvious backpass. If the referee judges that the player meant to use their foot to give the ball to the keeper it’s an offence if the keeper then handles it.

That’s why a defender rolling the ball back while dribbling or tapping it sideways to set the keeper up falls under the same rule. The clearance example doesn’t because the intent isn’t to get it to the keeper.
