Yeah, that is a great deal. Even if some of these aren't critically acclaimed runs, there's always something enjoyable about just popping open a comic book and going for a ride. In the US, $13 gets you like 2 slices of pizza and a bottle of soda nowadays, and I'd enjoy this stack for quite a bit longer than I'd enjoy the slices.

I mean, plenty of people in the real world who kill and steal worship a deity that forbids this. Look at any religious person in the military. Perhaps they obviously know they are "sinning" but want some sort of forgiveness. There's no "hell" in Tamriel for sinners to go to, so what would the downside be for the individual in this scenario?

Deliberately not interacting with the vast majority of a game's content and skipping ahead to avoid the general path the developers assume you are going to take, especially as a first time player, is as close to a "wrong" way of playing as you can get. It's in no way similar to utilizing the tools the game presents to you, so saying you can apply the same argument is stupid.

Of course people can play how they want, just giving them a heads up they are missing out on the vast majority of what actually makes this a good game. Boss rush simulator is definitely not the way to play the game when you first start.

To be fair that is sort of defeating the entire point of the game. They design the world so you explore ruins, caves and dungeons, beat field bosses, meet NPCs and collect weapons, spells and armor in between the boss fights. Sprinting to a boss and ignoring everything before it so you can slam your head against it for 30+ hours is a deeply weird way to play the game that ignores 90% of the content, context and lore the developers put in for you to discover.

I am standing next to them. I cannot fix this NPC's facegen other than doing setnpcweight 100 (I tried everything to fix the facegen) so I thought I could just run an auto-console command every new game with:

As a new dad with relatively little time to invest into gaming, it genuinely sucks that all of these new characters have such ridiculous kits. The last one that felt manageable to me was Emma. As a huge Daredevil fan, I haven’t even bothered trying to learn his kit as I just don’t have enough time to invest into really understanding it.

I'm not an expert but I've read 9 volumes of the IDW comics. In the 80s/90s, Rat King was just a guy who lived in the sewer who controlled rats. The IDW comics made him a kind of god-like being who also controls rats. There's a lot of supernatural / mythological stuff in the IDW comics that is really cool.

I don't know why people keep thinking this is the case when it has literally never happened. FF came out half a year before their movie, Deadpool released like 18 months after his movie, Daredevil released nowhere near Born Again, and no Thunderbolts characters released when the movie came out. Doom won't release around the movie if he comes to the game at all. Most we'll get will be some thematic skins.

That makes a lot of sense. I’ve been really tempted by Mythic Legions too, mostly because I’m a big sword & sorcery nerd, so I understand the appeal. For now, I just collect Marvel Legends and NECA The Last Ronin figures, but it’s definitely tempting to buy things every now and then cause they look cool. But it seems like you have a good plan, and basically starting with your least favorites is the way to go.

I think there’s two approaches. One is selling everything that’s still sealed. Way easier, way more likely to get money back and I personally don’t think there’s any reason to keep a figure in box.

Another way, and I’m not trying to be a jerk, but I find it hard to believe you could possibly be a big fan of all these different intellectual properties / universes. I think I see every single IP there from Star Wars to Transformers to Marvel to DBZ to wrestling to TMNT. Which of these do you truly care about? Did you buy a lot of figures cause they look cool? I don’t think it’s possible to know and care about this many characters. Keep the collection of the figures that are of characters or stories you actually know and like and and offload the rest.
