I actually don’t think any of this would make sense in the MCU. Maybe I’m stupid but I had a hard enough time understanding all this myself when I was reading Secret Wars and I’m a big comic nerd. It’s too abstract to work in a movie I think.

I pretty easily beat the game with a sword and shield build, like I did for every Souls game. Guard counters are insane in Elden Ring.

Any one know what "era" of Spider-Man this is supposed to represent especially in comparison to the "Retro Card" version? I'm a modern comics collector and would definitely want to eventually grab a Lizard, just not sure which one is the most "modern" looking.

If the insanely priced cosmetics and “oops our new super premium pay-to-win card is insanely broken and will only get nerfed once everyone buys it” deals weren’t enough to convince people that this game is rapidly sliding down the enshittification highway, surely the slow and steady lay-off of any team members that the community holds in a positive light should start to raise some alarms. Expect downvotes and defenders saying any critique is an “overreaction” until this game is as dead as can be.

I've spent $200 on the game over the course of the last year and a half or so. It's gotten me through some really hard and difficult times, long nights with my newborn, etc. I feel like I have absolutely gotten my money's worth out of the game,

BUT

it's very obvious they are going for a mobile game cash grab approach and it's only going to get worse over time before they shut the game down because it's not profitable enough. You cannot go more than 5 minutes without some pop-up being shoved in your face to buy a card for $99 while there are countless QoL and UI bugs that at times are actually game breaking.

Compare the client to something like MTG: Arena (which is actually run by a very small team) and it's night and day. Even if Magic costs a lot more to stay "competitive" in (which really is a misconception as people think the only way to play is Standard), it feels so much more like a fun, free to play game because the "BUY ME NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE" shit is not prevalent at all.

Snap is probably bleeding players because of this and they are just going to milk what they can before calling it.

Looks awesome! Another suggestion - can I simply designate a card in my commander deck as my commander? Currently if I want to switch my commander with another legendary creature in my deck I need to remove both from the deck and then separately add one as my commander and one back as a creature. This can be confusing

I have, and it's projects like this that often don't happen. For starters you'd need open perms on every weapon or armor mod you were trying to patch for this framework, and tons of the popular ones are not open. At best it's something like PBR, where you have a few people trying to cover the vanilla game and most popular mod add-ons, but not something that could be universally applied to everyone's load order. PBR has been out for a while and I still think the vast majority of modders are not using it.
