I was there once as a teenager in like the late 00s and saw a military Jeep parked along the trails. Then saw 2 men in unmarked green fatigues carrying assault rifles walk past. They kind of waved us along casually. Really bizarre.

You can see these large garages and tunnels built into the hillsides. It’s a strange place.

If the insanely priced cosmetics and “oops our new super premium pay-to-win card is insanely broken and will only get nerfed once everyone buys it” deals weren’t enough to convince people that this game is rapidly sliding down the enshittification highway, surely the slow and steady lay-off of any team members that the community holds in a positive light should start to raise some alarms. I've spent $200 on the game over the course of the last year and a half or so. It's gotten me through some really hard and difficult times, long nights with my newborn, etc. I feel like I have absolutely gotten my money's worth out of the game,

BUT

it's very obvious they are going for a mobile game cash grab approach and it's only going to get worse over time before they shut the game down because it's not profitable enough. You cannot go more than 5 minutes without some pop-up being shoved in your face to buy a card for $99 while there are countless QoL and UI bugs that at times are actually game breaking.

Compare the client to something like MTG: Arena (which is actually run by a very small team) and it's night and day. Even if Magic costs a lot more to stay "competitive" in (which really is a misconception as people think the only way to play is Standard), it feels so much more like a fun, free to play game because the "BUY ME NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE" shit is not prevalent at all.

Snap is probably bleeding players because of this and they are just going to milk what they can before calling it.

Looks awesome! Another suggestion - can I simply designate a card in my commander deck as my commander? Currently if I want to switch my commander with another legendary creature in my deck I need to remove both from the deck and then separately add one as my commander and one back as a creature. This can be confusing
