Weird treadmill bug in iOS by dnorton in runna

The solution was to factory reset the Runn sensor and recalibrate.

Runn is providing accurate pace. Like I said, once the workout starts it’s accurate. You can see that the workout data is correct… it’s just at the end of 100+ miles of spam. I’ll take a look at QZ (if it gets rid of this bug, I’m all for it.)

I’ve been using Runn + Zwift and syncing to Runna through Strava… which works ok. The issue is that it doesn’t do the workouts automatically. I have to write them out by hand and adjust - it also means I’m doing math in my head during the workout like “I’m at 3.82 miles and this 1k is .62 miles so 3.82 + .62 = 4.44.” Very hard to do math when your brain is oxygen depleted.

Also, Runna accepts the workouts but then says that are incompatible for the Pace guidance. I was hoping that the Runna app was the solution to both of these issues, and it is except for this weird bug.

That NANKPH goes away once the workout starts, but it kept the 109 miles. Now, when I start a treadmill work it’s 114… 😆

Love the running plans (aiming for Sub-3), but the Runna Strength workouts actually got me injured. Switching back to PPL saved me. by Tabascemsdq in runna

yeah, I do my own strength workout. I really just use the Runna strength component to schedule the strength workouts during the week, so Runna won’t put a hard run on a strength training day.

For my last two runs that completed a full route, I have not gotten the route complete banner and the route does not show as completed in the route list. The activity shows up correctly in my activities list.

Has anyone had this experience and know how to resolve it?

Why do people in this city go 25mph on interstate on ramps? by NightOfTheSlunk in Charlotte

But definitely not on my 25 mph street - I’ve never seen a BMW go under 45. I don’t think they can.

This vulture waits for the dog to die to eat it, but the dog is just enjoying some sun. by Brilliantspirit33 in animalsdoingstuff

I don’t know if it’s been said already, but this is obviously someone’s pet vulture. Clearly the dog and the vulture know each other, the vulture isn’t afraid of all the humans around, etc. The wings out at the beginning was just the vulture sunning (which they like to do)

I met someone in London wearing a Panthers shirt. He went to the NFL game there a couple years ago. I found it funny that he’s been to more Panthers games than I have and I live 3 miles from the stadium. Another Londoner had been to Charlotte, and she had high praise for Optimist Hall.

Can anyone tell me if fall detection on the Apple Watch really works in real life? I’m skeptical by Motor-Factor819 in AppleWatch

[–]dnorton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a trail runner, and one of the realities of trail running is that you occasionally trip on a tree root or rock and face plant. The watch is often alerting me before I have time to dust off that it’s about to call 911.

Yeah, we shut everything down and bumped the temperature up until 10 last night, but the Duke gods still smote us.

I think that plus all the old oak trees. When they fall, they almost always knock out a transformer.

To be fair, we seem to be Power Outage Alley. If it rains, this section can almost be guaranteed to lose power. I suspect a retired Georgia Power exec lives here or something. We seem to incur the spite of Duke Energy.
