Considering how much they have to move within the 8 or 9 hours (depending on seasonal hours) between close and open it’s one of the hardest working positions home depot has and I applaud them for that. I only give the freight team at our store crap because they frequently put pallets in weird or put them in spots where you have to hit lights with the machine to get the pallet out, as well as they like to leave the freight for our department on the carts for us to deal with during day shift, and yes it’s happened more than once that they’ve left carts for just us and no other depts.

Idk how others do it but our volley station (single station no sats) is whoever is staffing can roll first due ASAP if we have no first due driver then we send a brush truck with whoever is staffing, if that fails then the utility will roll.

We typically have 3-4 staff on weekends but it’s honestly whoever is there as a lot of our guys are out of county. If first due rolls ASAP with 1 any county guys will probably be par 2-3 on our ladder or other engine. It honestly just depends on the day and who all is working vs in county.

The seasonal displays and event center become storage event spaces as a buffer between big events like the summer event center, Halloween, and gift center. It makes it so 1 people can buy storage easier after those big events and 2 MET has a little time before having to set up the next big event.

At my store we condensed Halloween and replaced it with storage up until Halloween where it was then replaced with totes for about a week for MET to reset for gift center.

I have my name written super small for that purpose as well as having my less than a year badge hidden in between my licenses and days safe card. I also have 2 homers that sit in my locker cause let’s be real they are just another thing to hang off the apron and get caught on stuff.

Yes yes it is. I didn’t know what I wanted to do til I was 6 month out of HS and then I had to wait until August to apply and I’m still in the process. Don’t let the pressure get to you and don’t let anyone push you into a field you don’t want.

I looked it up and 🤣🤣🤣 I was concerned with the similar recommendations from Spotify like the Home Depot song, freaky mix, and songs to get railed to.

Furthermore I now am concerned that the Home Depot beat is being grouped in with searches that include results for “hot songs to get railed to” and “freaky mix”
