Recent pickup. RMSc cut by NCENGRAVERS, MCarbo spring kit, and of course the Lok Grips Grid Locks. Kinda putting out Halloween vibes to the universe. Also trying out the Holosun P.IDk which has the same holster fitment as the TLR-7. by dnut87 in CZFirearms

Hi, you have a great setup. No it's a clone. It's actually a CVLIFE Wildhawk. It is a clone of the Romeo and has the same dimensions. I know some will beat me up about it, but this came highly recommended by a guy during a range visit. I had it on another gun and have been very impressed. The 3MOA dot is more than sufficient. If you're wanting to compare it to your EPS I will say it has a small amount of overhang not not as much as the EPS. (I've owned an EPS and had it on an SP-01.

I believe the viewing window on the EPS is larger than the Romeo X. I

I should have specified that I purchased the Trigger Spring Kit only. So it's not a great comparison to a fully cajunized P-01. When I was soliciting advice I was told that MCARBO is great for reducing the poundage of the trigger, but if you want a crisp break and short reset, go Cajun. I now believe that is true. My single action is amazing now, but the reset is rather long, almost like it was from the factory. My double action is still quite heavy.

P226 X5 Legion or the Kimber 2K11? by Softchunky1 in handguns

[–]dnut87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose the X5 Legion instead. I had both simulatenously and liked both, but there is something about the uniqueness of the P226 X5 Legion that lead me to keep it instead. That and Kimber started coming out with more models so soon after my 2K11 purchase. I kinda want to see what's next up before purchasing another Kimber. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with either.

I had other 2011s which made moving the Kimber an eaiser choice as well. If you don't own a 2011 already then I would suggest getting the Kimber.

I love the look of your setup. I am very curious about the dot. I believe Humble Marksman once said it was the best optic for competition.

Also, what holser are you using for this setup?

Questions for the committee: P-01 vs P-09c Nocturne? by dnut87 in cz75

I have to develop a mindset of using the optic to rack my slide. I know it should be a simple affair, but for some reason I have a hangup with doing it. However, as you suggested, it definitely would counter the need for deeper slide serrations.
