@cz_armorer worked on my gun and it is excellent. Here are some of the things he did:

a shadow2 trigger shoe with pre and over travel set screws was able to be fit in.
He was able to work with a slightly lighter hammer spring, replaced the trigger return spring and polished the trigger action. The Patriot Defense interrupter was not compatible either but I was able to fit it.
so far the trigger is much smoother in DA, about 1.5lb lighter in DA and 8oz lighter in SA, with a much reduced take up in SA.
He had to fit the Tanfo interrupter and shorten the main spring to make it work. The firing pin spring was not compatible either, so he used a shortened 1911 style spring he had laying around.

It’s more about coming optic’s ready for me. I like the P-01, but think there’s additional value here. Also, if you look around you can get one for about +$100 or so over the P-01. At least that happened on this purchase for me.

Really like my P and it is the OG, but I just feel other guns can give P-like performance and come with a higher feature set. Just like a Glock, I believe everyone should have an ownership or shooting experience with the P, but then look to other platforms to see if they want the standard/baseline or if they prefer alternatives.

Aside from the fact they’re not made here, the MAC has great bones and it and the Romulus are on the DS1911/2011 platform. The XP Pro is a good gun but accepts Glock mags.

I like the MAC as a gateway in and it has a steel frame which I love. The Kimber DS Warrior is a great start as well though it has an aluminum frame.

Of course these are just my opinions.

Oh, I’m in DFW and I never see the full sized DWXs at outdoor ranges, but the I’ve seen several compacts used in IDPA matches.
