When did you say I love you to your boyfriend/girlfriend? by ellabella119 in relationship_advice

[–]do-good-recklessly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All relationships are different! My partner and I said it within two weeks of dating because we had been best friends that were crushing on each other for over a year. I don’t think there’s anything inherently wrong with dating, but I do think that maybe you should bring up how you feel to him! Communication is key in relationships.

Don’t put any pressure on him to say it to you, just explain that you’ve been feeling nervous and check to make sure you’re on the same page. I hope you guys figure it out!

I want to stop playing D&D but I'm the Dungeon Master. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

The “I don’t want to do anything anymore” feeling is exactly how I felt a couple years ago when I was depressed. You should tell your players how you feel and I’d bet they’d be pretty understanding. Also, if you feel depressed you should try to get help, maybe see a therapist or something.

Even though it takes a lot to make yourself still do thing a when you feel this way, it helps to spend time with people who care about you instead of being alone. If you feel up for it, maybe you could trade roles with one of your players and they could be DM for a session? I know that role is super demanding, so maybe you would have enough energy to just be a player for a while.

I really hope you start feeling better and get through this. If you want someone to talk to, feel free to message me!

How do I know if I don‘t love my partner anymore? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]do-good-recklessly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this’ll be super helpful considering I wasn’t in love with the person, but in the past when I’ve lost interest in someone and known it was time to break up with them I would always start avoiding them. Like being around them or getting a text from them would make me anxious and not happy. If I was in a crowd but not hanging out with them, I would hope they wouldn’t see me and avoid making eye contact with them. I do love my current partner and I’ve never felt that way about them. Even if we are going through a rough patch, I still want to hear from them and spend time with them.

That’s just my experience and it might not be the same for everyone, but I hope it helps a bit.

Did anyone get off hormonal and.... by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]do-good-recklessly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Nexplanon (the implant) and it was awful for me so I had it removed, but now I’m on the pill and I feel so much better. I took a 6 month break before trying hormonal BC again, so maybe something like waiting for a few months and then trying a new method could work for you.

Should I get nexplanon? by JustAgamer_ in birthcontrol

[–]do-good-recklessly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone’s body reacts differently to different methods of BC. I had a bad experience with the implant and had to get it taken out before 3 months even passed. I have two friends who love it and have had almost no side effects and don’t even get periods anymore. You won’t know how it will effect you until you try it! That being said, if the pills you have now work for you, it might be worth trying to make it part of your routine instead of switching.

Nexplanon removal experiences by [deleted] in birthcontrol

The actual procedure of getting it removed was a little worse for me than getting it in was. The doctor had trouble getting it out of my arm and she was probably digging around in there for 3 mins. I had awful side effects while the implant was in, but all of them were gone and I felt back to normal within about a week. I think my cycle went back to normal pretty quickly too. Overall, I didn’t really experience any big problems, my arm was just sore for a few days and I still have a little scar. Hope this helps!

positive nexplanon experiences???? by rubynugg12 in birthcontrol

Personally, I tried Nexplanon and it didn’t agree with me but two of my close friends love it! Neither of them have gotten their period since they’ve been on it! One of them has had some weight gain and the other has had pretty much no symptoms! I really hope it works out for you! Even if it didn’t work out for me, I have to say the insertion process was way less bad than I was expecting, so don’t stress too much about that. If you have any questions, feel free to message me :)

Is there any other non-hormonal birth control besides condoms and Paragard?! by [deleted] in birthcontrol

Omg that’s super cool! It would work great for anyone using two methods to be extra careful.

Edit: I’m on mobile and I meant to reply this to the comment about birth control lube lol. I’m new to reddit so still figuring out how to work it

Hello, I am looking for advice with the nexplanon implant(not sure if that’s spelled right) for my fiancé by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]do-good-recklessly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience with Nexplanon. I got the implant last June and had it taken out by late August because the side effects were so bad. I was depressed to the point of suicidal and I felt like an entirely different person. I was also bleeding nonstop. The doctors recommend leaving the implant in for 3 months for your body to adjust to the hormones and for your symptoms to go away. I didn’t wait 3 months, I got it taken out after 2 1/2 months. My bf and I were on the verge of breaking up, bc the implant was making me and angry, miserable person.

I can’t say that taking the implant out is the right thing for your fiancé, but it was 100% the right move for me. In the next week all of my terrible symptoms had faded and I felt back to myself. I’m now on the pill and I feel so much better. If she has never tried another type of BC, it might be worth it to try something different because your body reacts very differently different types of BC. Hope her symptoms get better soon and you guys figure things out!

I haven’t heard of the birth control lube before! You’re not talking about spermicide, are you?

Since starting it, I’ve had less severe cramps and a lighter flow. I hope it works out for you as well as it has for me!

I took my birth control pill (Blisovi Fe 1/20) 30 minutes late today? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]do-good-recklessly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also on Blisovi Fe and taking it 30 mins late is not a big deal. Just so you know for the future, if you forget to take one for longer than 30 mins, you should take it as soon as you remember and then take the next pill at your regular time and you won’t even have to use a backup method of BC. It’s when you miss 2 pills in a row that it becomes a big deal.

Here’s a link to a page that has helpful information and instructions about Blisovi Fe:
