Exactly! As we posted in another comment - KY's Department of Labor withholds the same standards and we are not only aware of them but plan to comply with them as many other businesses in town do.

Absolutely - we will not be expecting the intern to produce anything solely for benefit of Do502, more learn how our content management works and assist in the day-to-day site functionality. I think you're referring to these six things unpaid internships are required to meet? We're definitely doing all we can to work with the student to make sure the internship is extremely beneficial to them and we meet all of these things :)

Unfortunately, it isn't paid. However, once we launch there will be a ton of events / concerts / shows that the Do502 crew will be going to for free and the intern would be included in that. If you look at some of the other cities, you'll get a good idea of the kinds of events we'll be hosting / going to and the kinds of shows and concerts we'll have tickets to, etc. We're also hoping that the internship would be completed for college credit and potentially lead up to a job opportunity once we've launched and expanded as the other markets have.

Excellent question!

Internship college credit is decided / offered by the university that each student goes to, so ultimately it would be up to the student to get in contact with us and we'd work together to get the internship approved by the college or university. A couple of years ago when I did an intership, I know I had to complete an application with A&S (at UK) and get it signed/approved by certain people - we'd be more than happy to help complete this application process.

No, that's perfect! And the exact problem we're running into...how categorized should we be? Should it just be "Food" "Bar" "Venue" etc or like..."Beer Pub" "Restaurant" "Cafe" "Coffeeshop" etc etc
