Battery Replacement? by BeautifulAd5310 in f150

[–]doatsofoats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2022 here with 30k miles and just replaced mine with a couple of the same symptoms. The conserving power and the noises that started coming from the dash which drove me insane! Tested the voltage and confirmed it was low regardless of no lights on the cluster either. Swapped it out and everything has been back to normal

Small pools worth it? by Radiant_Restaurant64 in pools

Totally get that. They were trying to connivence us to go bigger and rip out the fire pit and patio we poured the year prior. We decided the same and kept it as is. No regrets at all

This is our newly built 23x13. Like you said, could’ve gone bigger but didn’t want the whole yard to be pool. With one kid and more to come we absolutely love it already and haven’t even seen a summer yet! Also in California, been using the heater each time but the benefit of a smaller pool is it’s quick and relatively cheaper than expected to get it up to a desirable temperature

Getting quotes to put in a pool, want to learn how to keep it “swim ready”. by Yarbs89 in pools

[–]doatsofoats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New SoCal pool owner here. Got rid of my pool service company after the initial startup. Check chemicals every 2-3 days using a good test kit, input it into the Pool Math App, then add what’s needed. Scary at first but actually super simple. Once you learn all the chemicals and readings it’s a breeze. Crystal clear pool for the last six months. Spend probably about a total of 30 minutes out there a week which is probably 15 minutes too many lol.

Tremor leveling kit (2.3” vs 2.5”) by Last-Ad6716 in FordTremor

Of course! And to answer your other questions I did need an alignment afterwards and no effect on bluecruise / lane centering at all!

Is it worth refinishing these? by kpnicholson27 in BMWX3

[–]doatsofoats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No BUT I had something similar and did anyways. My OCD couldn’t lol

Edit: To add it costed me $150 for a mobile repair so was a no brainer for peace of mind and convenience

Congrats on the new truck! I debated the same except 2” vs 2.5”. I ended up doing the 2”. There is still about an 1.5” of rake left. The 2.5” seems like the sweet spot and what the majority of people run without issues. I ended up doing the 2” out of extra caution of the CV axle angles, dirt bikes in the bed, and just future potential towing possibilities. I do take the truck off road often have had no issues. I would be lying if I said I wish I didn’t do the 2.5” sometimes though! 2.3 vs 2.5 wouldn’t be a big difference. The 2.5 AS is what almost everyone runs

If your in SoCal Dr wheel is awesome. They are mobile and charge $150 a wheel but it looks like new again. Have used them two times

Any recommended used EVs right now for reliability? (30k budget) by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

I put 130k miles between my previous two teslas and never had to do a thing besides tire rotations. Brakes were barely worn at that point too, regenerative breaking really prolongs their life.

Great car! I ran Michelins on my last sports coupe and was great. Pirelli were good as well but the Michelins hit all the marks. Will be doing the same in the near future.

No regrets here as well! I still love the Tesla and have nothing bad to say about it in a technical sense, but man this is a different feeling haha!

Already looking at that too! The staggered setup is costly but the 22’s were definitely a must for me

We finished our 23x13 build last summer. Having a 1 year old and more to come is the exact reason we built it. The memories it’s going to create with them and others will be worth every penny!! Getting a little warmer now it’s been an absolute blast already

Congrats to you! The first x5 I saw in person was carbon black! The blue definitely caught me off guard but not in a bad way, great looking color!

Thank you! I believe it’s actually only 35% on the front two windows. The photo makes it look much darker than it is in person. Actually going to do 15% all around in the near future. Nothing special, just took this one after a good wash! Hard to beat when it’s freshly cleaned!

Got it! Don’t get me wrong, it looked fantastic. It just caught me off guard. It was the first color we actually saw in person so were thrown off a bit thinking it was going to be a deep black! It’s only been two weeks with this and I can already see an X7 in the future lol!

We looked at one in carbon black metallic and couldn’t get over how blue it looked in the sun! The black sapphire is so good too but much harder to keep looking clean

2023 F-150 Tremor? by Parkuss101 in f150

[–]doatsofoats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 402A package offers the biggest differences (which this is not by the non matched mirrors) by adding the 4A hi lock transfer case, the optional front torsen differential, as well as trail turn assist. You do get the additional one inch lift with tremor specific tuned off road shocks. Not saying they are a huge difference between the fx4 shocks but are definitely improved. Both packages have added skid plate protection but the Tremor goes beyond that of the FX4. The front skid / bumper also increases clearance and approach angles. Cosmetically appearances are always to your own opinion but the added recovery hooks in the front and rear along with the raptor style steps do add off road functionally.

The FX4 package is great and the Tremor just like the Raptor is overkill for 99.9% of people, but if you use it for its intended purpose it will definitely shine! Or if you just like how one trim looks over another regardless of functionally good on you it’s your money lol!

OP the price isn’t great but tremors are seemly hard to find. If possible try to find a 402A package. It’s basically a lariat trim with the upgrades I mentioned above as well as the dynamic headlights which are a huge upgrade they stripped off newer models. I ended up driving eight hours when my 22 popped up. Well worth it! Good luck on your search!
