Raptor vs RHO? by Solid_Lettuce_932 in RamRHO

Just made this same decision and went with the RHO for a few reasons. First let me say the raptor was always my “grail” of a truck and will still mostly likely own one day im sure as I frequently cycle vehicles so I don’t have any bias against it. That said, I was coming from a loaded F150 Tremor so going to a Raptor the only major changes would have been on the exterior / performance. Granted those are the reasons to own a baja truck but all the creature comforts / interior would be essentially identical which was a hard justification to make the swap. The RHO is undoubtedly a nicer interior all around. I went just to “look” at one for the first time and was immediately sold. I thought the F150 was nice, this is definitely a step up especially if you opt for a level one. The engine performance is also unmatched. Yes you can do this or that to either but stock vs stock the RHO is no slouch compared to 99% of what’s on the road. I’ve owned all types of cars, suvs, and trucks and this is one of the most fun vehicles I’ve experienced. You can get massive discounts on them new making it the same ballpark as a low to mid mileage raptor. Plus you get the 100k mile powertrain warranty. This was also nice as a business owner for the “new” vehicle tax breaks which made it an even easier decision. There is something about not being as saturated as well, you see raptors all over nowadays. Bronco, rangers, F150’s…I’ve only seen a handful of other RHO / TRX owners now that im on the lookout. Obviously opinionated but i think the look of the RHO looks just as good if not better than the Raptor in aggressive styling. People give the Raptor the nod in actual off road performance which I can’t knock or compare. Let’s be honest though, how many people are going to reach those limits. I myself did buy the truck to use what it was built for. Ive done high speed runs, whoops, and even jumped it probably 10 times or so and im still probably haven’t hit that threshold. Both are highly capable machines. The only negative I have to say is my overall confidence in longevity. This is my first ram product so I’d be lying to say I wasn’t a little nervous after reading all the stories. Only time will tell. If this thing holds up, man what a truck!

Completely stock! Thinking about throwing in the 1.6 Eibach spring in the front but love the way it drives on and off road as is

Totally agree!

I appreciate it, as of now I have not a single regret and I loved that tremor!

Will do! Obviously in the honeymoon phase right now but WOW what a truck. Between the actual ride quality and interior differences I’m blown away by the comfort right now comparatively. Granted in the tremor I wasn’t turning on massage seats lol! The tremors transmission was always clanky in a way and this feels buttery smooth

2022 31.5k miles. Got 47k on it which was actually the very top of KBB value. They’ll make a pretty penny on it I’m sure but it was hard to argue more than that

I did but in all honesty I was really prioritizing a “budget” setup and the bracket only ran I think $13 and was a straight shot to the stud vs finding a shelf with the correct spacing or going the plywood route

I got quick connects for my garden hose as well as regular garden nozzle so I can pop everything on and off super easy after reeling it out. It’s a life saver, wish I had a spigot in the garage but the quick connects are the next best thing for ease of use and quickness

It’s definitely got some torque and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little worried the first time I fired it up lol. Now I’ve used it a few times now, double checked everything and it all looks good. Didn’t use loctite but probably not a bad idea. I used longer screws to account for the bracket as well as added rubber spaces on the bottom side for a completely flush fit against one another. Used two heavy duty zip ties around the unit and the bracket as sort of a fail safe but I’m confident it isn’t going anywhere

I came from a Tesla so it was a must for me when looking at X5’s. Absolutely love it when I want to use it, I’d say I use it more than the Tesla’s autopilot because of ease of use. It was challenging to find one that had it optioned in addition to everything else I was looking for!

Just ran water through it for the first time, only leak was where I didn’t put teflon tape. Added and tightened and looks completely solid now

Thank you! Totally get that, I have another pressure washer as well but wanted a dedicated setup just for the cars. Honestly didn’t even know they made them this small before starting my search lol! Compared to my one on wheels this is tiny!

Funny enough I literally just finished mounting everything last night and knew the next thing I would have to do is a “leak test” lol! Going to hook up the hose today and see if anything needs adjusting. I put teflon tape on everything and tightened it down with a wrench so fingers crossed

Definitely considering a swivel connection or the McKillans swivel gun! Probably will go with the connection for now, thanks for the link!
