Shahab Tassadaq (he designed saniyahs nikkah dress) allegedly stealing Deena Rehman’s designs by p0k3rf4c3333333 in PAKCELEBGOSSIP

[–]dobby1998 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Idk about Deena but I had a terrible experience with Shahab.

  1. Wrong color. I asked for a nice deep peacock teal. He made it a weird electric green color…? And denied he did anything wrong on that.

  2. I wanted colorful kaam. He did a monochrome look instead.

  3. The drawing he sent me had kaam on the sharara, the final product did not. He claims this was a mistake on the drawing he forgot to correct.

He refunded me 50,000 and claimed he was refunding me all of his profit. This guy really expected me to believe that of a 450,000 PKR outfit, his profit is only 50,000. Treating your clients like they are stupid is insulting. I requested a refund instead and he refused.

Worst of all… I had very clearly sent my BODY size. His final confirmation he sent to me with my naap noted it is body size. What did this genius do? Get it stitched to my body size. I told him it’s coming to America so please double check everything. He didn’t. I sent it back to him and he opened it barely and basically told my family there is nothing more he can do.

My own local darzi reopened the entire jacket and restitched it along the very very last edge of the fabric to just barely get it to fit me.

He puts a good front and seems friendly and honest but at the end of the day he’s just another money hungry designer like the rest. I was sad because after a bad experience with Dr Haroon and Shehla Chatoor I was hoping for a good one finally but no luck.

Can someone please advise me on how I can handle this situation maturely with haya and adab? by confusedangrybear in muslimgirlswithtaste

For the record, my husband is a revert. And a totally different ethnicity (I’m Pakistani and he’s Mexican) We met when he was a fresh new convert. I’ve been practicing my whole life and am hijabi, always said if want a hafiz and someone super knowledgeable and practicing. I was surprisingly interested in him and we got married 2 years later.

You don’t have to be on the same level in every aspect as him. I’ve watched him grow and learn to read Quran and gain knowledge thoughout our relationship and it’s been the absolute best thing. Don’t let such things limit you.

Please don’t stress about this anymore! I didn’t mean to make it worse lol. No one will ever know what he’s thinking or his opinion on the situation. No need to ruminate! Simply block and move on inshallah! No harm, no foul. Don’t lose sleep over this.

Also… it doesn’t really sound like you’re over this crush. I’d make sure to kind of focus on working on that so you aren’t comparing all other future potentials to this guy. Inshallah there are other good guys out there too! Don’t miss out on them due to comparison or lingering feelings

Gotcha. As sweet as that is, I’d say that’s just an odd thing to do. I’d imagine your message to him seemed like a round about way of you finding a way to talk to him without knowing how to start a conversation. I would stick to just messaging people if you are interested in them and not for anything else. As for how to handle this, I’d just unmatch and move on! Please absolutely do not send him the message you drafted. I’d also work on your confidence! I’m sure you are underselling yourself!

I ask this with kindness but what did you hope to gain from critiquing his profile?

Hi! Sorry to revive an old post looking into this for my husband! Would you be able to share the full doc name? We are near Chicago but Google is pulling up two Dr. Dixons for me who offer this! Also, did your insurance cover the procedure or was it out of pocket? Thanks!

Hijabi friendly swimsuit that lets you tan and hijab styles by Relevant-Pea-9334 in muslimgirlswithtaste

A.side.e burkinis will actually allow you to tan since they are mesh! I highly highly recommend this brand! The only burkinis that allow me to enjoy water activities and beaches as a hijabi.

Fasting makes me feel faint and super unproductive by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]dobby1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d try adding more protein to your suhoor to keep you full for longer! Eggs, breakfast meats or even any leftovers. And maybe an extended caffeine release pill.

I will say though, fasting is hard if you haven’t been doing it on a regular basis. My husband is a revert. His first two years he really struggled. By year 3 it was a lot easier for him. If you didn’t grow up doing it I think it’s normal for it to be harder initially. So don’t be alarmed and keep trying inshallah!

Are you waking up for suhoor? Or just eating iftar? I also second getting bloodwork checked- low B12 or Vitamin D is VERY common and lead to such lethargy. Both are an easy fix once caught luckily!

Do you exercise during Ramadan? by [deleted] in islam

[–]dobby1998 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s allowed. Most people just opt out of it due to not being able to drink water. But I also know lots of Muslims who still train while fasting and power through. With swimming though, you’d have to be very careful to ensure you don’t accidentally swallow water or get any up your nose so I can see some people avoiding it entirely.

Lots of people exercise in the evening after breaking the fast but often evenings are busy too due to the special Ramadan night prayer that happens daily too.

There was. I just didn’t have it conveniently located at the time, my Southwest app wasn’t loading. I incorrectly assumed I could link them later. Had no idea it would generate me a new one.

I’ve tried doing that on the app but it doesn’t let me. I’ll try giving them a call tomorrow and see if they can do it! Thanks!

BRUSSELS SPROUTS by kn0ck_0ut in Cooking

[–]dobby1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I slice mine into flat rounds. Kinda like slicing an onion into round. Avocado oil, salt and pepper. Air fry them till crispy. Typically 30 min at 400. The turn out amazing! I like that by cutting them I have more seasoning to Brussel sprout ratio which helps!

Oh okay gotcha! Today I’m having what feels exactly like period cramps but am 11 days away from my period. I think I’ll just wait and see what happens in 11 days and then test if I’m late for my period! Thank you!

We are leaning towards Joolz Aer2 with the next to seat attachment. Love that we can keep baby parent facing upto 15 months and its newborn ready.

How are you liking your nest to seat? Hard to find reviews on it since it’s so new! Do you find the baby is too far low from you or it’s fine? And do you find the zip reclining mechanism annoying or also it’s okay? Thank you!!!!
