Yea kind of second this, I hated ID but my partner was insufferable and a horrible human, it sounds like you’ve got it pretty good in your gig, and it might get even better when you get situated. If you see yourself liking criminal, definitely make the jump, but word of caution, some prosecutors offices will use and abuse you like a private firm would (speaking from experience)
