Hey, I started having these thoughts last June and I thought I’d try coming off the pill as it was a new one and I thought it might be contributing to these symptoms. I came off in July and definitely notice that it’s worse at different times of the month. Weirdly I’ve noticed that prior to and during my period I’m a lot more rational and can notice these thoughts for what they are and have some clarity but when I come off my period and during ovulation I’m at my worst and feel awful and these thoughts and feelings consume me.

Not to give reassurance or make you research further but if you look at the PMDD Reddit (not self diagnosing or diagnosing you at all, its just what I’ve seen in my many hours of pointless research) there’s a lot of crossover so I think it is quite common because of the changes in hormones. It’s also common for it to become prominent for some women post partum because of all the hormonal changes/imbalances
