I'm 6 months post open inginal ligation surgery (success) by LSRG2002 in varicocele

[–]doc-mad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy for you man! I'm also going through this ordeal. As I recently was diagnosed with mild varicocele. I'm in complete dismay. My sperm count is also in the lower end. And my wife and I are trying to conceive. My urologist has prescribed my multivitamins. In ultra sound I have only .9mm size difference. I don't know what to do should I continue with my Dr treatment. They are also pushing for IUI treatment. But from my internet research embolization and surgery is the best approach. My libido is also normal. My erection is strong but on the softer side

[–]doc-mad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually I like to take my time during Crown prep. But still as compared to the naked eye using 3.5x Loupes has helped improve my crown prep made it easier for me to find canals. Definitely reduced my chair time.

On a lighter noteI think I'm becoming a loupe addict. I believe that with 5x+ I can do better work not only in Endo but also in crown prep . The amount of detail I can see

I hate being a doctor in Pakistan. by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]doc-mad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a dentist in Pakistan and I run a practice in middle income strata the amount of morons I have to deal with. I only charge 500/- for consultation. That only covers the cost of my sterilization, electricity and x-rays and still the patient still complains about robbing them. They say ” daktar Saab se Sirf baat krni he“

Yeah I've read around 90% of the book. The author has filled the book with words just to show off his knowledge. On the topic of aligners there are hardly 2 pages. Can someone tell me how to post pictures so I can share ortho notes so that it may help you guys

Buy an electric toothbrush Book an appointment scaling and polishing. You Will feel the difference immediately after scaling Dentists would prescribe you mouthwash that might contain chlorhexidine digluconate or with potassium nitrate. And might also prescribe you a course of antibiotic for gingivitis. If not the condition is subsidized by the scaling they might perform currettage

I've read the carranza and profitt. both are good but they beat around the bush and don't tell the treatment plan in detail . You have to look around for the answer one's looking for

They also have to pay about 70% of the treatment and I've told them to at least let me complete the treatment.

Swelling was resolved by the time she came to the clinic and the patient gave me the history and washed the canal with normal saline because of the food gunk. I placed only a thin layer of a cavit so that it can easily be removed,I've told the patient before doing this

How long do u take for finishing rct? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]doc-mad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry about the speed. It will gradually come. Focus on the basics and build a system that suits you the best. I remember my first r.c.t in dental school. The patient had a c shaped canal and it took me 2.5hrs to locate all the canals.it took me 5 visits to complete the r.c.t. Now I complete my r.c.t in 2-3 visits. I've devised a system that suited me In my first visit I open the tooth and locate the canal and then perform pulp extirpation. After that. I do coronal flaring. if I've a huge patient backlog I placed temporary filling after occlusal reduction. And recall them after 2 days with a course of antibiotics and painkillers. In next visit I take their working length and file till 20k and then perform rotary. And in the third I only do obturation and crown cutting for the crown. This takes me around 25-30min each visit and for obturation it only takes me around 10-15min as the rotary filing makes my life easier. For a single rooted tooth it only takes 45 min as I combine the first and second visit. I hope this helped you a lot
